Thank you for sticking up for your employees. Had a similar thing happen where I was part time for a few months until things picked up. While it was difficult I appreciated that I had an income for then. And he gave me a stellar reference for if my finances got too tight and I needed to start searching.
This is why managers need to be included in firing decisions. The fact that Brittany here wasn't able to have that dignity enrages me.
I watch the anime gurren lagann. It's a stupidly chaotic optimistic show that basically asks "but what if humanity really could do anything?"
Answer: we would throw around galaxys like frisbees in giant space robots.
So when I'm down I like to watch it and think maybe I can do anything if I believe.
Glad I'm not the only one whose Gale has a dragon hoard of scrolls. No matter that half the party and Tav has dark sight, I might need that dark sight scroll!!
Agree that I was ok with the apology (this was before I read Madison's tweets). But then Linus came on camera and he was instantly getting emotional and defensive. Immediately any goodwill that had been regained by Yvonne and Terren were wiped clean.
Then I saw the Madison news and unsubscribed.
I hope they recover, if only for the 100+ people who work for them and rely on lmg for income. But if not I wouldn't personally be upset.
I had really enjoyed the ea of BG3 so I'm pumped to play the full game! After two hours I'm pleased to say I made my character. Lol.
Really enjoyed this episode. But totally looking forward to getting to the main story again!
Ah. I get it. So the correct answer is something that a lot of people leave over! Let's see... Micromanaging? Lack of benefits? Commute times? Oh silly me, it's ping pong tables of course!
Mods could have forced reddits hand. If they had all striked and stopped modding at the same time. Leave it open, leave it up. But every single mod just walk away and watch reddit try desperately to backfill thousands of mod teams. But they played games instead cause they didn't want to lose power or thought their little subreddit was important.
I'm using it on my phone, but still browsing Reddit on PC. Going well so far and I assume as I find more communities on Lemmy that I enjoy my use of reddit will slowly decrease.
I used mint on my laptop and once it was setup I was pleased. The laptop is a 2in1 with a swivel touchscreen and it's impressive that everything works. Hopefully it works well for you too!
