Ah, good one! But to be fair in early November a lot of us were door-to-door canvassing and/or phonebanking.
OMG I did the same thing too... but the funny/sad thing was that I started doing those "typical reddit" comments that weren't really insightful but got lots of upvotes. Then when I came here to Lemmy I had to stop myself from making those kinds of comments.
Hey, unironically you should try one of those private social networks where it's all just AI bots and you're the only human. I mean, I hope you stay here too but it might help you to have a place where you can say things without human judgment but you still get some kind of feedback.
Did they give us what we wanted? Nope. The protests happen all the time, but name one instance when it actually worked.
The example I linked describes how a peaceful protest convinced the Pennsylvania Assembly to vote for American independence.

The one I was at, the speakers were talking about the various organizations to join to help make a change. Several groups were talking one-on-one and handing out flyers to contact for "next steps."
I personally signed up with Indivisible to demand our congressional representatives do everything they can to slow down Trump. But I also got the names of a couple other organizations if I didn't think that was enough.

I started in February (2 years ago) bc I figured the New Years people would be gone by then. I got a personal trainer for a couple months, then I got a gym buddy to go with. It's great bc then if you need to skip, you have to contact them and apologize.
