Trans Megathread for the Week of November 25th, 2024 to December 1st, 2024
  • I will mention planned parenthood, might help. But as I understand it the HRT caused her condition to flare up again and she no longer has a formal diagnosis. So she needs a diagnosis for her previously-diagnosed rare autoimmune disorder, so that she can get medication and hopefully resume taking HRT.

Trans Megathread for the Week of November 25th, 2024 to December 1st, 2024
  • Does anyone have any advice for finding doctors who are not transphobic? I'm asking for a friend with a rare autoimmune condition. She is based in MA, USA. She waited 3 months to see a doctor and cannot return to them because they are transphobic.

  • So the Pokemon forum Smogon was named after the German name for Koffing as a reference to Nazi gas chambers
  • Good video, worth a watch if are invested in the community. At the end she argues that the site has changed, and cites the presence of a diverse community as evidence of that. Personally I am not going to use the site anymore because I am concerned about the ideology of the hosts and admins. If Smogon was and potentially still is a safe harbor for antisemitic behavior it will never be a safe space for any minority group. The logo is still a koffing, they just got rid of the swastika.

  • Trump & the GOP have all the power. But have you considered he didn't get 50% and... *screws*?
  • If screws could vote, and libs weren't a joke, then every day would be democracy day.

  • Can I store some info in cookies but not the rest?

I have my browser setup to automatically delete cookies after the app is closed. I do this for privacy reasons. I would however like to store some cookie information, but not the rest. Example: Every time I start a new session I am forced to read DuckDuckGo's AI slop as the first result to my search query. I have to manually change site settings every new session and I don't like it. I know that I could allow certain sites to store cookies but I don't want to allow DuckDuckGo to store any other information. Is there any way I could save site settings in a static file that is reloaded every time I open my browser? I use both Chromium and Firefox on linux and android.
