Pure fantasy, but quite an appealing one. Putin's successor has already been selected by Putin and his inner circle. He has been shadowing Putin since before the war. He is a political clone of Putin. When Putin dies the transition will be seamless.
Putin will be remembered as a Hero of Russia.

The two fundamental of Russian thinking.
1, Suffering is inescapable, and must be accepted.
2, A strongman leader is always best, even if he does terrible things to us.

These beliefs have been a constant throughout one thousand years of Russian history

Sure, not every Russian agrees with those beliefs, but the number of those who don't, are so small, as to be effectively zero.

I am a fluent Russian speaker with a degree in Politics and lived in Russia for years.

Nobody takes the polls seriously. Neither inside nor outside Russia

I get my information from reliable sources in Russia, with whom I am in daily contact.

    No.

    Ukraine is destroying their equipment.
This is not being done by imaginary 'Good Russians.'

  • @JustMy2c @LaFinlandia

They are going to starve then, because the impotent old men who 'lead' Western countries are too afraid of Russia to do much to discomfort them.

Yes, I've been keeping an eye on it. It's not really exchangeable anymore. Technically it is, but nobody outside Russia wants to touch it. It's pretty tough in Russia now. People don't want to spend their money.

    He's already done that.
I was talking about non-nuclear direct military action.
In that regard, his resources are limited.
