It has a learning curve… but it’s awesome. Replaces spotlight and does so much. I use a plug-in that allows direct search of my Arc web browser and/or arc open tabs. Awesome to jump straight to a specific tab from anywhere on computer. Also… highly recommend Arc browser.. built on chrome so super compatible… but revamps and modernizes the ui… adds spaces which are awesome
Great app. Let me ask - any good thoughts on how mlem could help Lemmy become video friendly? As long as video has to be either a gif or an off-site link, I think most people will find it too cumbersome to visit Lemmy for their daily dose of funny dog videos. Could there be some kind of embed/video host combo that gets abstracted from the user so that videos can be “posted” ?? Don’t underestimate the power of dog videos.
Fediverse can win. But, it has to be dead simple to use. It has to be smooth. It has to be easy to grok. Literally, nothing else matters when talking about user adoption. My belief.
