But on the other hand, I don't have to remove snow from my place, I don't have to pay a repair guy to fix stuff when it's broken, don't have to mow the lawn, or maintain the swimming pool. If I have problems with my neighbors, I can complain to management and they'll handle things discreetly without singling me out or involving me.

Lane assist combined with adaptive cruise control pretty much means my Accord is driving itself to me, as its driver. I've only had problems with the lane assist when the sun is shining really bright on the road when it's low in the sky (sunset and sunrise). I think it doesn't "see" as well at those times of day.
Yes, I have to keep my hands on the wheel and pay attention - but every driver should anyway. There are so many crazy variables out there.
I hate seeing these cars on the road as I drive to work with a normal car that does all of this stuff as a basic feature but doesn't have a cult of personality CEO promising bullshit attached to it.
A modern sedan has all of this in play. But the companies that offer these features are very careful to explain that what they offer isn't a robot that drives for you.

I love my Honda even though it has connectivity issues. But damn if it won't see myself in a situation where just driving my car winds up whare I smash me into a tree and burn me up.

My boiled egg slicer. It seemed really frivolous when I bought it, and I probably only use it five or six times a year at best but man if it doesn't cut down prep time for any salad with boiled egg in it, it also works with avocados!
Personally I think he's too young to be tried as an adult and it's obvious that his negligent parents both ignored his cries for help AND encouraged him to use weapons that the law prohibits minors from owning.
But on the other hand, they weren't the ones that shot up the school, and he does pose a threat to society. If anything this case illustrates how messed up and convoluted the juvenile justice system is.
