Do you drop it more often at certain times? One time I dropped a phone and thought I was clumsy so I took the case off. That helped me realize I was just careless cuz I never dropped it again. But if it’s the former that might not work for you.

In terms of geometry nah backing in is way simpler. Less turning involved I believe. Not a mathematician but Ive been professionally driving for 10 years
