Can we have a dropdown menu like we had in the 2000s?
Not sure why we decided removing the scrollbar and only showing the top 8 entries was a good idea.
It's not that bad.
The US is big and very diverse. There's something for everyone here, and you can do your part to make change.
VMs will crash because of running out of RAM.
It sounds like that's exactly what's happening with your setup, however you probably don't need to buy more RAM to fix it.
Type free
, or free -h
, into a terminal to see how much RAM and swap space is being used.
Swap is a tool that allows you to use your storage drive as additional RAM when necessary. If nothing indicates swap usage when using free
, then you need to enable swap space.
Ask AI "How do I enable swap on Linux" and it should give you good instructions.
Speak for yourself.
A subscription model for hardware like bikes or washing machines would be interesting.
You mean an extended warranty? Yeah, no.
Businesses always make more money off of extended warranties than they pay out in fulfilling them.
Can we stop making excuses for the people trying to take our money from us?
It's been proven there are those willing to do this work for free, so we should cultivate that mentality.
Let's raise standards instead of lower them. Otherwise we're just being useful idiots.
I've been saying this for years, and done a pretty good job at avoiding subscriptions myself.
I only subscribe to the things I need and have no way of finding an alternative. Namely, things like utilities.
I have 0 subscriptions to anything digital.
This is an unfortunate outcome, but to be expected by now.
We haven't been hearing anything about Ukraine from the Western propaganda mill; that means there's nothing good to report on because that's how propaganda works.
It's always excusable to kill rich people.
They only get rich off of the exploitation and suffering of others.
You're wrong.
This means pennies will stop being made, but the concept of 1 cent will still exist.
Most payments are digital, anyways. This won't have any meaningful effect.
Smarter than Skeet
This just shows the Dems that the left voter will never vote.
Sorry, I stopped reading after this. You're clueless.
Gonna ignore you now. Have fun wasting your efforts doing the same thing expecting different results.
No, just live at or below a standard that is attainable for us all.
Thought so, hypocrite.
Sad watching you be so sure of yourself while also being clueless.
You still don't understand.
Arguing with me isn't going to change anything. You should be arguing with the people that nominate establishment candidates.
Go ahead, blame me all you want; I genuinely don't care. If you want me to get out and vote, then your neo-liberal, lesser-evil buddies need to be the ones who 'fall in line.'
Every effort you spend in trying to get me to support establishment candidates is futile.
We should be starting at the billionaires and working our way down, but I also don't care when consumerists and neo-liberals get theirs early.
You have more than enough and should not receive even more while others have less, just like the billionaires you’re criticizing.
This is the important part that you're conveniently ignoring. Why should the person with a $400,000 house in suburbia be exempt from the redistribution of wealth while children starve? How much are they really contributing to the world to deserve that?
You mention doctors and dentists, and I'd agree with you. They can keep their assets within reason.
What about everyone else who isn't in medicine? What about the people that aren't easy for you to hide behind to justify your greed and consumerism?
It's working exactly as intended.
How am I not calm?
That's okay.
We'll take the futures from their offspring.
This will not go unpunished.
