Using something else than Graphene OS is pointless

TLDR: i complain about samsung's flagship and newer android.

I use samsung flagship phone and it's crazy, how unable I am to use full potential of my phone, just because I don't want to log in to google neither to samsung. I try to use F-droid and Aurora Store whenever possible, but its so bad experience...for maps I use Organic Maps, but google forces it to be installed specifically from Google Play Store to work with Android Auto, so I have to log in every time there is an update. Most of games won't work, because they require being signed-in to google, and thats actually kinda weird..before my phone now I had an old Galaxy S5 Android 6.0 and games there didn't complain that much as here on Android 14 (so the newer android the less privacy you get, while them all companies "focus on privacy", bullshit liars), samsung requires signing-in to usd like 1/10 of the flagship features..It's so sad, as I love samsung's quality, phone is really outstanding, overall all samsung products are very good quality, but pushing these fucking accounts is convincing me not to buy samsung's flagship anymore. We need to finally unite and make some alternative to those close-sourced bloatware, as phone industry is nowhere near to being as free as desktop industry. I feel more free using Windoze than those fucking " smart"phones. Really if you have to buy new smartphone and are into privacy, think twice before you buy samsung..phone itself is great, but software side is a nightmare.

Google is Killing uBlock Origin. No Chromium Browser is Safe.
  • Oh well? I think you should educate yourself a little, it was never designed to be free, it was designed for army for long distance fast and reliable communication, later evolved to be a service, no service is free, providers aren't gods to give you anything for free.

  • Google is Killing uBlock Origin. No Chromium Browser is Safe.
  • I know what adblock is and how works, I use, that doesn't change the fact it is just ruining free internet, if everyone used adblockers google, youtube, gmail and all other apps would not be free (you think why youtube ads are getting longer and longer?) If you use something for free, you either abuse someone's work, or you sell your data, no free things on this world.

  • Valve Engineer Mike Blumenkrantz Hoping To Accelerate Wayland Protocol Development
  • Its just because xwayland is doing its job, but many games and programs don't work even on it, you just need to switch to X11 manually, this is annoying me. I don't know why people downvote, maybe because they don't have nvidia and don't know how it works there. I have nvidia and use linux 2 years already, I can confidently say from my experience, X11 is more laggy but more stable, you need special kernel for wayland to work just better on nvidia, and still it is not as good as just using x11.

  • Element X, Call and Server Suite are production ready
  • When telegram team is mainly focusing on UX instead of privacy and security, it is not wierd for me. They don't have to bother about encryption, about matrix protocol which federates all the self-hosted servers, about self-hosting in itself etc. I'm pretty sure element's UX is a side-quest compared to all those other things under the curtain. Summing it up, Element X is in fact a huge upgrade, making it closer in UX to other mainstream apps like those i mentioned above, not Telegram, because it is not even a messenger, its just a social media app that immitates "private and secure" messenger, but in reality it is just twitter DM.

  • Audiophiles be like
  • You do good, internet is so analphabetic these days, we need more correctors like you. Look I don't even know how many typos i did in this comment so correct me. I like when people tell me what's wrong, but literally no one does that.
