Loyalty to the flag
  • In post-communist eastern Europe it was common to reinforce the nationalistic sentiment in schools to try and erase the Soviet/Russian influence in case of a posible future separatist movement from within.

  • Loyalty to the flag
  • Dunno for US, but in some monarchies, the flag was carried around by representatives who delivered the will of the king/queen/emperor/etc. So seeing the flag was the same as seeing the ruler in person. Symbolism I guess.

  • A timid beetle(?)

What's its name? I've seen some before, but rarely. Once every few years or so. Thanks

Edit: the likeliest candidate is an Old House Borer without antennae.

"How did the nobles become noble in the first place!?"
  • Depends on where a person is shot. If it doesn't hit anything important, a shooting victim can go without noticing the wound even a day after or so. If it hits something important, the person shot will drop on the spot.

  • An Important Distinction [Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal]
  • Nah, it's very subjective. Idealistically patriotism is more like "I want to make the common house everyone on the street lives in more pleasant to live in for everyone."

Realistically it's more like "I want to make my house how I think it should be better. Why doesn't everyone else do the same?"

Each individual has their own idea about what's the patriotic thing to do, even if that ends up to be the wrong thing in someone else's view. That's why I say it's about internal conflicts. Your patriotism and your neighbor's can come at odds with each other in various points. Neither of you might be wrong, but you'll still have to pick something that goes against those beliefs eventually. Better for you, worse for someone else, but pat oneself on the back with the excuse "the good of the many".

  • Why don't low birth-rate countries make immigration to their country easier?
  • Oh feck off. Most gyms are mostly predatory money grab schemes.

Better to reduce your sugar intake and focus on physical activity with practical effects. Clean your house, do some gardening, volunteer in the community, play some sport you actually like. Gyms are for losers!

  • You should start streaming some old Animal Planet shows. Grooming each other is a big part of social bonding among many different animals.

Also, the second part is because they've seen what you do when you're alone and know you're a perv.

  • Apparently controversial, in this day and age
  • You need a revisit of DS9.

Jem'hadar had their own set of internal rules and even disagreements on how to interpret or execute orders. The drug was used to ensure absolute control because they could evolve in a cultural or spiritual sense.

  • I don't get how people can become depressed, when we live in the century of Fentanyl, easy access to alcohol and amusement arcades.
  • Randomly read a click bait article the other day on "How famous people died". The older ones were alcohol + drug prescription overdose, while the newer ones were fentanyl + cocaine + alcohol.

Remember people, stay hydrated! Drink your drugs with water like you're meant to!
