having issues with Vivaldi stuttering
  • try disabling or enabling hardware acceleration. i think its in the vivaldi:flags page. also did you install flatpak version? you could try and download the .deb from their website and install that to see if they are any different. i was a vivaldi user too but ended up ditching it because of some bugs in the linux version.

  • What is your favourite game with native Linux port?
  • seen a lot of games with native linux ports, always need to use proton because usually the native ones won't even launch successfully. the only one that works almost 100%, golf with your friends.

  • Microsoft Edge nags users with a 3D banner to change Windows 11's default browser
  • i broke mine a few times, but i just did dumb stuff. using it normally should not break anything. if for example some update breaks something, you can roll back with timeshift and skip all the updates available. had to do that once when some mint update disabled all sound devices, was ok with the next updates. definitely set up timeshift!

  • It'll show up soon, along with a sticker for your closest national park.
  • where i live, it's nissans. especially qashqai. i could swear those are physically unable to reach even 70% of the speedlimit. that's the only vehicle you never see tailgating you. merging onto the highway behind them is scary because you are going 40 km/h where others are coming 100 km/h behind you.

  • How can I easily and conveniently transfer files wirelessly between my linux computer and android phone?
  • samba. share a folder on pc, and on your phone use a file manager that can access smb folders in your local network, then just copy or move from or to that folder. bit of a hassle to set up the first time, but makes things more convenient in the long run.

  • It would be nice.
  • there are quite a lot of articles about yawning cooling the brain. in this princeton research they observed how much people yawn outdoors in the winter vs summer, and it was more common in winter. personally i don't quite believe this, because aren't we more tired in the winter anyway? https://www.princeton.edu/news/2011/09/19/more-sign-sleepiness-yawning-may-cool-brain
