  • The Tesla brand is dead to me. In 2018 I wanted a Tesla EV but when in came time to buy a new car (2024), I got a BMW instead. In 2018 I wanted a Tesla Powerwall but I just bought a Jackery system instead. Between the two, that's well over $100k lost to Tesla from that purchase. Countless more given that I will never buy anything Tesla ever. I won't even ride an Uber/Lyft if the driver is on a Tesla.

  • That's what we needed to do with MAGA.

  • What are they requesting for age verification?

  • Seriously. She went from having shorts to her stepbrother visualizing jeans. So weird.

  • Whoa...that resemblance is crazy.

  • 100% Morticia aesthetic but with pink hair would be right up my alley.

  • Austin did this years ago and the alternative apps did extremely well. Then the Texas legislature stepped in and gave Uber/Lyft everything they wanted... for a fee.

  • An evil fascist state is bad, but you can at least plan around it. A completely incompetent evil fascist state is just indiscriminate chaotic sadism.

  • Al Jazeera must have updated/corrected it. The title of the post was the original headline.

  • Over here in ADHD land;

    I can absolutely hyperfocus my way through tasks...as long as they are for someone else and due in a couple of hours, even though the task was given to me three months ago.

  • The controller is from their failed cloud gaming platform, Stadia. It is no longer sold by Google but you might find them second hand from individuals for very little me money. A lot of people do nit know that Google unlocked them.

  • If you can get your hands on one for cheap, I recommend the Google Stadia controller. Google released a web based patch to enable its Bluetooth connectivity, and it is USB-C as well.

  • Circa 2015. That's when I started advocating for UBI because I saw what we were doing with "AI" (it isn't really AI). We (my company) got to play and deploy early versions of these models and it was plain to see that the client interest went immediately to how they could increase efficiency and lower headcount.

    AI replacing human workers was as plain to see ten years ago as the commoditization of IT was around 2005.
