true, but in this case you can look at the same graph that was linked and see another Linux distro clearly marked that they choose not to treat as one in their headline. seems a little silly to me
and what kernel would you say it and android runs? relevant?
why do we negate chromeos we are 10% at least so there we really are
i love you because i completely agree with you
i thought spectre was fucking cool as well though
i guess the evidence of massive coordination by Moscow was at the end of the article?
this would be a most flagrant act of war against France if so, no?
because Ubuntu has been fantastic for a long time now
in my experience the browser went through a poor engineering phase just as Chrome was getting good, and that continued for quite some time, the mobile browser took a very wayward turn a few years ago
oddly this happened at the same time as Rust and Firefox OS appeared which i think are phenomenal achievements
so Chrome ate Firefox's lunch and the series of weird CEOs have compounded that by attempting to cover it up with progressive sounding PR
as a kid, current favorite music or radio
as an adult, science podcasts, movie directors commentaries (ridley scott, francis coppola highly recommend), select rain sounds and currently the watergate senate hearings
oh i didn't know Mint supported ZFS and nvidia wayland install etc?
the ubuntu installer has always been the key difference for me specially with zfs and multi-monitor/fractional scaling/nvidia setups that it has configured well over the years where other installers leave you with a lot still to do
it's very easy to make those changes to ubuntu, but i guess for a new user it might be a significant barrier
the internet should be able to provide all information on what your local government is doing and should provide a local forum to discuss and share information about what is happening in your community
i also think there should be a way of verifying that you live locally, so you can only contribute if you have a id posted to you, like an election card. i don't think this identity should give away you real name and address, just verify that you are real and local
this is a fucking masterpiece
i honestly thought you meant muslim lemmy users
NixOS is perfect for server OS. hope in future a little more orchestration tools make it even easier to manage clusters of NixOS instances
usually, but if the UN approves they will get involved
Iraq was led by the US with few partners and was a huge mistake.
Libya was a UN sponsored brief air/missile strikes to try to stem a horrible civil war but yeah that was NATO and didn't end well either. Probably should have been a larger operation with peace keepers.
NATO has only ever started a war in Bosnia/Kosovo so I too hope they keep their cool
agreed thankfully the far right is still small and with a bit of immigration reform should be wiped out
However, if I log in and immediately log out, Wayland is available on the login screen and you log in to a Wayland session.
This is identical on both my laptops, they are very different in hardware and performance. This started happening after updates about 3 weeks ago.
I have looked at logs and I can see the subsystems trying Wayland and falling back to X but I can't see an obvious reason (probably my lack of experience at this).
Anyone else experienced similar?
