They're quickbreads, actually. To be pedantic though, cakes are technically very sweet quickbreads with a different order of ingredient mixing.

I work for a medium-sized regional hospital (~125 beds) and we see patients in our emergency department dealing with severe alcohol withdrawal symptoms (seizures, malnourishment , dehydration, etc) multiple times per week.
