  • If they got rid of the TSA they would have probably been given a lot more public good will, of course it would mean that the job market would suddenly have been swamped by the biggest bunch of idiots that anyone has ever had to deal with.

  • I am a straight Christian white dude

We get it you're looking for a job

You have to submit your CV and a cover letter as well as go on our website and fill out 500 little boxes all of which are answered by your CV.

  • The newspaper he was writing for is a major publication he absolutely could have asked someone.

The problem here is the newspaper didn't care enough about the article to put anyone on it who is even remotely familiar with technology. They probably thought of it as just some throwaway piece to fill out a bit of space. Which to be fair it would have been had it not been for that comment.

  • I don't think it's the variable for counting the number of us in a group that's the issue here. There'll be some internal tracker that gives everyone in the chat group a local ID probably for the purposes of ensuring that everyone stays in sync.

If you leave the group and then go into a different chat group you'll probably have a different number in that group because the internal counter is specific to the chat, not to the user ID which will be a unique ID used across all interactions for that phone number.

  • A company telling you you've got unlimited off days is actually really bad because it means they will just engage in this judging practise.

If they tell you you've got 25 days then that's great you know how many days you've got, if it's unlimited they start being argumentative around day 10. So in reality people with unlimited time off actually end up with fewer days.

Working for a European company is great, currently I'm being told that I need to take 2 weeks off, in addition to the holiday I've already booked off.

  • If the battery is dead how can they turn it on to find out what the problem is? Literally an unsolvable problem.

I suppose in theory they could replace the battery and then see if that fixed the issue, and if it didn't then there's another issue, and then fix that issue, but all that seems like a lot of work.
