  • Not only that but people are also stealing their tranquilizers

  • there is a support sub in reddit for (ex)partners of people with BPD. What is impressive is how ALL the stories are the same. A L L. Its like we were all dating the same person. Same gaslighting, same fights, same way of expression, same self victimization, everything.

I'm 9 months out of such relationship and I'm still recovering. I had lost myself. I think about past incidents or how I was feeling and oh man what a ride. And yes, for some reason the sex was out of this world.

First brake up was kinda manageable. I accepted her back after her cheating believing all the things she wanted to change and improve. LMAO, ofcourse the same things happened. Second brake up sent me in hell.

People with BPD just destroy whoever is very close to them. I don't believe their malicious. I'm sure they're also suffering and this is what they do believing they are protecting themselves, but yeah, they need to work on controlling their emotions otherwise they just hurt both themselves and the ones around them.

  • Burning disks was failing because of the PC's inability to keep the bufferr full all the time in the rate that the disk was spinning. You were selecting write speed. Let's say 24x. If you started doing something else on the PC and it prioritized that, it could reach to a point that it didn't have available in the buffer memory the next set of data to be written. The disk writer couldn't dynamically reduce the speed of spinning. So it ended up having nothing to write at said position. Then it could not resume. It all should happen in one go.

  • totaly agree. Additionally if I see a post/comment with racist/fascist/sexist views I want to know what the general consensus is. It makes a difference knowing that people disagree or support.

  • Yeah it looks it is official. Then I guess we'll have to live with it and the internet hype it misleadingly creates

  • Agree with your comments. Do you know if the term hyperfocus is being used in official ADHD characteristics or is it a completely internet made up thing based only on experiences?

  • I hate the internet over-romanticization of the "superfocus" and people believing they have a superpower

  • I don't know for adobe specifically, but other services like for example spotify, require that you also pay by a card issued in said country. So the VISA from your homecountry you already have, doesn't work.

  • Did you download a ready apk? If yes, it was malware. Follow the recommended procedure with the manager and patching the original YouTube apk yourself

  • Agree. Enable only what you understand you should enable

  • The "which instance to join" thing is the worst for me. People here are claiming at the same time that "it doesn't matter because fediverse" and "it does matter because you need to find one that you agree with their stance/philosophy/admin-decisions".

I was thinking that for this to work, each instance should had a mandatory landing page with the "about us", but this is not a solution either. How do you know that the instance has competent sysadmins? I've seen instances with exposed logs with IPs, private info etc. Its impossible to know and its literally roulette.

I have ended up having a different account in different intsance in each of my devices, which I actually enjoy tbh but claiming "just sign up" is bullshit. I may even sign up in one that the admin decides to shut down tomorrow. If I don't know the risks of randomly selecting an instance it is almost certain that something will happen that will piss me off.

  • Lol I was feeling there was something wrong there after i typed it but left it like that anyway

  • Apologies for misidentifying you then.

On the topic, the debate was never regarding if streets would exist or not. This is a moved-goalpost argument made by people who are trying to fight the pro public transport movement.

Supporting and promoting public transport doesn't require to demolish the streets or make cars illegal. Or cars cease to exist at all. This is an irrational fear of such peopke and it is actually funny when this is the counterargument.

  • Once every a while I also move my open tabs in onetab so I can not-visit them again from there

  • Ah yeah the first years of anxiety

  • But fax is still relevant

  • When the argument is emergency vehicles and "rail infrastructure for every house" it is clear that you are talking with an American that has no idea what they are talking about

  • The fact that "streetcar" means something unrelated to both a street and a car is above my IQ
