  • There are definitely varying degrees as to how far that phenomenon has taken hold, and it has done so to a much larger degree in the US than in a lot of other countries. There is not really any point in trying to relativise this, it is not "business as usual", this is radicalisation on a 1930s Germany level.

  • Even if you love porn and grew up exposed to it as a kid, you gotta admit that there are psychological effects on avid adult viewers and more on minors.

No you don't. That is right wing propaganda completely unfounded by science. That porn addiction nonsense so many Americans babble about is a product of that propaganda, and doesn't actually exist.

  • That is not really something you can say with certainty. Products you buy can easily have had materials or services from the EU involved somewhere in the production chain, and regardless of how far out in that chain they are, those tariffs will fall on you to pay as the end product consumer.

  • That is not what they are saying. It is perfectly valid to say that there are zero contemporary primary sources to confirm the existence of Jesus. Historians have come to the consensus that he most likely existed, on account of the influence stemming from later sources, but they all also know there are no contemporary sources, so that consensus is based on circumstantial evidence.

The historicity of Paul is not robust, it is definitely better sourced than Jesus, but that historicity stems from himself, and as we cannot take his supernatural religous experiences for fact (he can very well have believed them as fact, but we know that they cannot have happened in objective reality like that), he is not exactly the most reliable witness in the first place.

  • I think Harry Potter is pretty shitty and uninteresting fiction. It is not really a constructive argument though, because it is entirely subjective. A lot of people thinks that Lovecraft wrote some great and interesting fiction, so I am not really sure what you are trying to say.

  • Looks like a good amount of calories to me, the two fruitdrinks alone would make up for most of it. The problem is that most of it comes in the form of sugar and carbohydrates. And there is a worryingly lack of fibre, which means that whoever eats that will likely get hungry again in a short while and crave "snacks" and other unnecessary calories.

  • You don't need an acre of land. You can grow tomates in pots and keep them on your balcony (if it gets enough sun), even in a relatively northen climate, as long as it is the season. You will need to water them and prune them occasionally, but it is not really a lot of work. And it will keep you in tomatoes for several months. That is definitely cheaper than anything professional farmers can produce.

It will not replace storebought produce, but it is a very nice supplement.
