Organizers with the cheekily named “Equalititty” and GoTopless groups walked about with a simple proposition: In 2024, there isn’t a particularly good reason to bar women from taking their shirts off entirely in the summer heat wherever men are allowed to do the same.

Gov. Healey said today she has ordered St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton seized so that the state can keep it open while it transitions to a less rapacious owner - the non-profit Boston Medical Center - rather than risking the collapse of any deal by its current for-profit owners to squeeze...

The Comedy Studio reopens in Harvard Square starting Thursday
  • I once went to one of the shows when it was in Bow Market. It was such a trip, because the majority of the audience was comedians waiting to take a turn on stage. It definitely had the feel of people testing out their craft mixed with the feel of karaoke.

  • Woman who called in transphobic bomb threat that locked down Children's Hospital gets three years probation
  • Just a reminder, rapid onset gender dysphoria is a fiction invented by anti trans activists. In short, there is absolutely no evidence this is happening, all of the supposed study data comes from testimony of specifically anti-trans parents, and all of the medical treatments have been extremely conservative and hard to get by kids under the age of 18.

  • 9 great craft breweries and taprooms to visit in greater Boston
  • I love how breweries have to reinvent the nightlife scene, since they are not "just bars". So many cool things happening, especially on weekdays. I know people at Dorchester Brewing so I am always glad when they get some love. I have no time for waiting in line to get beer at Tree House, though.

  • Route 3N from Burlington to NH. Can now drive 65!
  • I don't drive that route very often (if ever) so I don't know how bad it was, but I do feel like the speed limits in boston are kind of low. Is there concrete data suggesting that low speed limits are good? Does traffic not improve with higher speeds?
