Fuck you asshole.
I like the color, looks like my copper spur really, the olive one. At first i thought the copper spur was a bit bright too, but now i prefer it to the darker greens i think.
The naturehike tent i had was called "spider 1", dark green. I gave it away (after i got the price down to 1€ / night ;) because it lacked the orthogonal roof pole, that keeps the vestibule away from the inner tent when you open the door. To be able to look out in the rain and not get everything wet etc.
I reckon i have 100 more nights to go in the copper spur, got it at sale for 330€. From tomorrow night i will continue to bring that counter down some more :)
A joke really that these ground sheets are so expensive and not included. I made a ground sheet myself for it, from 65g/m² ripstop nylon. Had a tyvek one before, but i didn't like it all that much, dried way slower than the rest of the tent, ripped a lot, looks like shit. And i need a ground sheet to be able to set up / put down the tent in the rain.
Sure, I didn't want to talk you into buying an e-p1 or something, just wanted to let you know how i felt about the gx80 compared to the oly ones. In theory the gx80 should be basically perfect for me, but somehow it just doesn't feel right. Got it for 180€ incl. kit lense, flawless condition.
I have the og e-m10, later bought a used gx80 and a pen e-p1, both for real cheap. While the gx80 is probably now my "best" camera, it is currently collecting dust mostly, and i just kept using the e-m10.
And the e-p1, while certainly not up to date, i just love that one as a a walk around camera. Feels a lot smaller slimmer than the gx80 too, and i was already thinking if i should buy a newer of those pen style cameras. Maybe an e-p3 😆. Bought both those cameras from an ebay type platform.
I did not give the gx80 its fair chance yet (as in use it a lot for a while), but i would recommend the pen style oly's, they're fun, just miss the viewfinder, which the gx80 has. But somehow it does not feel as fun to me.
I have not used any of those tents. If i was buying a new tent now though, i would most likely go for a naturehike mongar 2025 upgrade, avaialable in 1p and 2p, the updated version is lighter now. Should be very similar system to the msr, but at half the price, and it is coming with a ground sheet.
I had a naturehike tent before and was impressed with the quality, would not hesitate to buy again. Currently using a big agnes copper spur, which is still good to go, I want to bring the price down to at least 1€ / night, haha.
Sadly, there's hardly anything here, here are some relevant communities:
!camping@sh.itjust.works
This is sadly the most "active" comm i guess, i liked posting there.
!outdoor@slrpnk.net
I wanted to say there's hardly any original content there, but it seems like it picked up a little lately.
!outdoors@lemmy.ca
Not much going on.
!bicycle_touring@lemmy.world
Not hiking, but camping and outdoors.
!caminodesantiago@jlai.lu
Basically ran by a single person, but i guess there's going to be some 70 more posts coming, haha.
!ultralight@lemmy.world
Dead. But it looks like somebody posted something three weeks ago, no reactions though :(
There's some more or less dead hiking communities too. That's all i got.
TIL ebike riders don't need food.
World, because ee does not want you to upload images.
Yes.
Saw a flock of thirty around col de la cayolle, was so nice. Quite some vultures in france!
Very cool, and nice to see rousset in the snow too. Hope the bird is OK. And yeah I think they're all griffon vultures around there. Love the vultures.
I think I bought it for some 5€ some years ago, osmand+ that is. I thought that was a bargain really. I've been using the fdroid one now for a long time, I wanted to donate some more money but they seemed to accept bitcoin only. I'll have a look if that changed.
Osmand rules.
That's interesting, I did not see it that way because I was there I guess, but it was maybe 14°C, so not really cold. And he certainly enjoyed being in the water, he kept just sitting in the dish for what felt like 5 minutes or so.
Could you please not repost my pics and clips here? I don't like my posts being used for your community wars.
Could you do me the favour and refrain from using my posts for your community / instance wars?
Downvotes bummed me out, not gonna lie. F.e. I was posting totally fine desire paths to the desire paths community, before it "blew up" because of some blahaj post, (now stuff gets quite a lot of upvotes there) but I always had people downvoting it.
I don't know, just a bummer to have zero interaction but downvotes coming in (although upvotes still outnumbered down votes then too). Pretty clear that it was from people not interested in desire paths, still, if you post into the void it sucks the fun out of it kinda, makes you wonder what you're even doing.
But less worse than some of the negativity snipers, who actually take time of their day to tell you that your post was not up to their standards but you never see them contribute anything positive to the niche.
I believe its catalogne in French.
I like the pb swiss pb 470.
Ah. Yeah i passed through St-Jean Pied-de-Ports last year on a bicycle trip and ran into a bunch of pilgrims, one of them told me that he started from le Puy doing that kind of group start, i did not know it was a thing then.
Did you start from the church then? I heard there is sometimes a mass in those starting point churches and then a whole lot of people start walking together.
Thanks for sharing!
