  • Every year I read interesting articles that spring up online and also are put out by my employer during black history month. It exposes me to viewpoints I might not chase down and expose myself to on my own. I come away from it feeling like I have a bit of a deeper understanding about how our country's past continues to impact the experiences of black people today in the US.

At no point have I felt excluded for being white, nor threatened by what has been shared. If you have been, that says way more about you than it does about black history month.

  • Statement from one of the owners:

“I feel like the situation has been handled horribly all the way around,” Pence said in an interview. He added: “All they needed to do was take responsibility, admit they had an accident and handle it differently.”

Hate to tell you buddy, but you've got a better chance of winning the lottery.

Statement from one of the cops (disputed by owners' attorney):

An officer identified in police records as John Pierce accused Morris of striking him “in the chest with an open hand,” causing him to lose his balance, according to police records.

How does a grown person use this to justify violence or arrest without feeling deeply ashamed at having taken a job as a cop despite being such an absolutely fragile human being?

  • Fail on both moron

You know how to avoid having people call you an arrogant prick who believes only your own personal experiences are valid? Don't say things that an arrogant prick who thought only their own personal experiences were valid would say.

And what do you mean fail on both? You sound like a Republican to me. That doesn't mean you are one. It just means you seem like one, to me.

So far, you aren't really changing my mind. You may not be one, but you definitely talk like one.

  • Imagine living in the 2020’s in the developed world and not realizing that internet access is a basic necessity.

Then imagine being the sort of person who would deny poor people basic necessities

    Standard Republican Worldview

  • So skimming through the link, it's a vaccine because it's still triggering a specific body response to fight the illness as opposed to directly attacking the illness itself? Is that a reasonable layman's summary of why it's called a vaccine?

(Old x'er here, Vaccines have been preventative for as long as I've ever known, that's the reason for the question.)

  • If we assume for a moment that it works as advertised - what is it that makes this a vaccine? To me it sounds like a cure or treatment.

  • Thing happens. Cops say "this is how it happened". Video comes out, either from a camera they control or one they don't. Video proves them to be lying.

^^ Want to write news articles for every controversial police action? There's your template.

  • IDK who’s flavor-aid you’ve been drinking

    I have a hunch.

  • How the hell did they elect a cop as Mayor immediately after 2020? Good on them for defying him, good on them for the ban.

  • Nobody is affraid to come out anymore, this in isn’t 1950, spare us your drama.

Translation: I'm self-centered and arrogant enough to believe my personal experiences have taught me everything I need to know about the personal experiences of others.

    You sound like a Republican.

  • Unironically the simplest accurate representation of the entire modern Republican platform.

  • If someone uses your name to justify cruelty, no matter how insignificant the person may be, it’s always worth speaking up.

It's going to take an eternity for God and his son to get caught up on this.

  • One of us! One of us!

Although I think having to fix a borked bootloader is a good bit of experience, it's probably not something you are always going to want to spend time on. I have used boot-repair only once, but it was like magic. Just throwing it out there for your future use and a general recommendation. :)

  • Literally every single sentence on that website has a source cited. What else could you possibly want? You want someone to read them for you too?

Even if he does, clearly that's what girlpowermarketing.com has done for him already. 😁
