I have a tiny Kingston microduo 3c drive on my keychain with some tech toolkit stuff. It is small and robust. Think I have had it knocking around for the last 4 years.
Sorry for your loss. I hope you have multiple backup copies of those files somewhere. The flash storage on those drives are the cheapest of the cheap and it isn't unheard of for them to go belly up suddenly.

Been like that for a while. I just lined the inside my wallet with foil. The reader can scan my pesto card on the outside but no bt my debit/credit inside the wallet.

Your time and money to waste. There is a process to resurface a scratched screen. It basically removes the top layer. Not sure if the glue on a screen protector will stay in place. Let us know how it goes.
Juice ain't worth the squeeze. Just replace the protector.
