  • Congrats Never Genocide people posing as Progressives. We fucking warned you that exactly this was going to happen. Trump and his cult would side with Russia and throw Ukraine under the bus.

    Great fucking job.

And great fucking job, Mods, for protecting those fucks in the name of civility.

We are the baddies now. And we got here because you'd rather protect Nazis from being punched in the mouth for their words and actions in the name of civility.

  • Meh. He'll use it as another distraction every month or whatever frequency he wants. Just like the Republicans would only approve stopgap budgets, so they can turn up the drama and claim some negotiating victories every time to just keep the lights on. It's all theater.

  • Yeah, I'm not really agreeing or disagreeing with either of you.

I think they exaggerated the "Trump will fix everything" when the general sentiment from the genocide Joe/ both sides crowd was "they're equally bad"

And clearly, they aren't equally bad. Trump is much much worse. And we're seeing ample proof of that.

Yet, the genocide Joe people are still plugging their ears and yelling.

  • It wasn't so much that people claimed Trump would be better. However, people claiming they would be equally bad because you can't get worse than genocide were fucking EVERYWHERE. Every single thread, even threads not even tangentially related to Gaza or politics. They canvased every thread. And they're still here.

  • And I just went back to Reddit after the election. Lemmy is full of the most annoying social warrior edgelords where every fucking thread devolves into fighting from insane viewpoints. The "never genocide" "both sides" kind of people.

    It's fucking exhausting.

But guess Reddit is imploding again. Hopefully we get more normal people to migrate this time to help drown out the nutters.

  • Rofl. Biden/Harris trying everything they could to circumvent the blockade to get supplies into Gaza. Trump literally saying he wants to expel the remaining Palestinians and take their land for himself.

You will never admit you were wrong. You will go to your deathbed self assured with yourself that you never compromised on your ideals no matter what actually happens to Gazian Palestinians.

If it wasn't abundantly obvious to the rest of ya'll before, these soapbox "never genocide" bad actors never gave a single shit about what happens Palestinians.

  • What the fuck do you expect them to do with a minority at every level? All they can do is try to get the message out.

Trump has repeatedly made empty campaign promises, yet voters take the bait every fucking time.

Pointing this out in real time is an important step.

  • Former smart TV app developer. I'm going to drive my old dumb lcd TV into the ground before I'm forced to use a "smart" TV.

I prefer casting, but for convenience for my wife, we have a fire tv stick.

I want my panels rendering, not thinking / reporting.

  • Still the only movie I left the theater mad that I spent money on it.

Aliens capable of interstellar travel, coordinating a planetary invasion, that spent decades doing recon ahead of time, and all they do is run around naked. Ohh, and they chose a planet covered 70% with acid (to them) that literally falls from the sky.

So. Fucking. Stupid. And not in a fun way.

  • They do. A friend in a fire prone area is unable to get fire coverage through his former provider. He was trying to find an alternative last time we spoke, but the estimate from the state was $500/mo. Just for fire insurance.

  • At my first job it if college, we had one QA guy at a small company. He did everything. He worked 12+ hours a day and weekends to support a team of ~8 devs iirc.

He was an H-1B. He didn't have a choice but to work his butt off and do anything they asked.

At one point while I was there, they honored him at some company party, thanking him for his hard work over the last 2 years. The gift was a $100 restaurant gift card.

And management had the nerve to be "shocked" when he quit immediately after getting his green card.
