Already gotten into arguments with some libs I know over Kamala. The Trump Presidency brought many libs to the left; it made apparent that the concrete institutions of the United States are made of paper, and can be torn up by anyone close to them. It also pushed those on the right further; they felt empowered to be more reactionary, far right leaders thought that they had more popular support than they did. It may be that they don't think that everything will be normal if they act like everything is normal, but by acting like this is the way that the structures of power are meant to operate, fewer people will lose faith in them and seek alternatives.
