  • Shea Moisture products score very high in the curly girl ratings scale and you can pick them up at walgreens for not much more than old spice hair products.

it is more expensive but only like 25% more and the quality difference is huge.

I switched and my hair is sooooooo soft now.

  • Linux during the mid to late 90s (Windows 95 and 98 era)
  • Slackware took like 40 3.5" double sided double density disks, and woe betide the poor soul who didn't label them because the stack was a foot high and you damn well would get them mixed up.

When doing it from home I would frequently run into issues that required me to completely reinstall dos and Telemate to go back to usenet and get help, print the help and then take another stab.

Dos and Linux had different opinions about SCSI chain termination so this usually involved full cover off to move jumpers on the hard drives and sometimes irq jumpers on the motherboard to get the modem AND sound card working right.

Then the fact that to get online once you had slackware installed required you to write your own SLIP/PPP dialup scripts because every ISP was doing their own thing.

Honestly it was a fucking wonderful time. Many happy memories.

  • The world’s emotional status is actually pretty good, a new global report finds
  • here and now it's the hottest summer of my life and they say it's only going to get hotter, but nobody talks about the causes or solutions they just are happy they get a few extra days of sunshine, or complain about the damn power companies outages without talking about the ever increasing power demands caused by the same issue.

I don't want to be 'that girl' bringing everyone down so I keep the discussions online where others seem interested in discussing the issue

  • How are things in Baltimore after the bridge collapse earlier this year?
  • yo the Shenandoah Valley is absolutely beautiful. A pleasure to drive through. The caverns you can go into are absolutely worth a visit!

Luray Caverns is so worth the price the formations inside are just amazing

Skyline Caverns is just as good. My favorite thing about the caverns is the cool stillness of the air underground.

  • Mildred
  • Lola by The Kinks in 1970,

The song details a romantic encounter in a SOHO bar between a young man and the eponymous Lola, who is possibly a trans woman or cross-dresser.

one of the lyrics references her cola tasting lips

  • TIL that Captain E. Smith on the Titanic was made aware of an ice field through 7 different warnings, but did not listen.
  • with no other context I would assume a reference to the biblical depiction of death.

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat upon him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with the sword, and with hunger, and with death and with the beasts of the earth.

  • Is it wrong if I have a scent fetish?
  • While I don't consider it a fetish I have a very strong sense of smell and it's very important to me with a partner.

I dated a smoker once and it was hell.

My partner smells nicer to me than baking bread or baby heads, which are the next two nicest smells.

I can often tell when she's getting sick before she can because her breath smell changes to a certain way.

  • Games that stuck with you
  • I'll tell you this and I would love to know if anyone agrees; Starfield's entire ship combat mode is stunningly similar to the Wing Commander series. I'd bet the farm some lead devs or PMs were fans of WC.

    Granted you are always going to be limited within a genre however to me;

    • the views feel the same
    • ship handling is very very similar
    • the way you transfer power between systems is identical in practice and visual design
    • weapons are similar in function and feel
    • enemy ships come at you in similar counts and formations

you can't control individual shield direction and you can't ram enemies and do damage but otherwise every time space combat starts i expect a little PIP cat to start talking shit.

  • Makeup practice with fashion frames
  • oh i'm stealing 'in a couple years ago' that's great.

I think one nice thing about transitioning later is it seems easier for us to not give a fuck. I sort of force-masced myself 30 years ago and now i'm delighting in undoing all of that.

The affirmations really work, especially if you say them out loud. A lot of advertising and self hypnosis works because the brain puts fewer filters between direct audio and your mind. If you distract the executive network and the salience network is relaxed your brain just kind of accepts things it hears at a low level.

Good luck darling I believe in you <3
