@Stalinwolf @inlandempire I treasure my 2e Talisman box sets. The art is so good.
@wahming @HubertManne There's no revoking a Creative Commons.
@mozz That chart is a story unto itself. I loved it.
@Merwyn D6 is the best!
@diviledabit @kvn2 I would kill to have seen that show!
@captaincoupi Saw them at a small club in La Crosse, Wisconsin circa 1994. Great show.
@copacetic sorry, can’t help you as I do the same!
@Aesecakes I remember them as part of the wave of Japanese pop punk groups that released albums in the US in the wake of Shonen Knife's success.
@ren Can I list every Nirvana song?
@ren Maybe for her, but my 5-year old loves "Daddy's music!"
@ren I just remarked to my kid after "Losing My Religion" came on the radio that I miss REM. She was like "who?" I've failed as a parent.
@BonesOfTheMoon @Aesecakes I've seen her several times, both solo and with The New Pornographers. She's a goddess no matter her hair color.
@StarkestMadness Yep, we have SiriusXM. Alt Nation is one of my presets, but I principally listen to 1st Wave on Channel 33.
@perishthethought Check out volume 2. I wish they continued making these compilations!
@perishthethought I love The Pixies and am passing down that love to at least one of my kids (my 11-year old doesn't like my music, but my 5-year old does). I didn't get exposed to alternative music until 1990 when I got this cassette and started watching 120 Minutes on MTV probably a year later (basically post-Nirvana)
@perishthethought My first real exposure to The Pixies (my first technically would've been "Wave of Mutilation" on the Pump Up the Volume soundtrack). Also my first exposure to anything dealing with The Jesus and Mary Chain.
@alternativenation I'm always looking for recommendations for online radio stations that play alternative and indie music! Let me know your favorites!
