  • Usually they are because they need to have their transponders on for this exact reason. They usually turn them off when they're entering no fly zones / going on missions. During the build up to Iran firing missiles on US airbases in Qatar you could watch a lot of German and British military planes fly close to the border, turn off their transponders, then reappear a while later on the other side of the no fly zone.

  • It's kinda funny that it was so hard for an F1 driver to beat the record but at the same time it feels kinda cheaty that he was a able to modify the cart to do it. I'm sure anyone could break the record if they could modify a cart by sticking a v10 in it.

  • The process seems simple but I made my own wild plum wine last year and just leaving it to ferment for 3 days too long almost turned it into vinegar. Also for anyone else wanting to try it, unless you're using something with skin like grapes or plums you need to add your own tannin.

  • Id be surprised if they don't already have serial numbers somewhere on the tires but the registration thing would be impossible. Tires are bought in bulk by tire shops not custom ordered per car, my local tire shop orders entire shipping containers at a time for their most purchased tires so it's not like they can predict which car a tire is going to be put on when it's still in the factory.

  • In Europe fluid restrictions have been lifted afaik. There's new scanners where liquids don't have to separated and you don't need to take electronics out of your suitcase. I haven't been on a plane since they came in but my girlfriend said that the time to get through security dropped from a couple hours to about half an hour last time she flew.
