  • Because they want to check if there's Nothing in your history!

  • As nice an idea as this is, I'd be willing to bet anyone who knows even an inkling about jury nullification will be filtered out before they'd make it onto the jury.

I think we're beyond the point of being surprised how far the justice system will go to bat for the rich, while (at best) ignoring all the poor they leave to die in their wake.

  • Don't be fair to them either.

Iwantmyname acted incompetently, but so did Brandshield, who decided to go straight to the nuclear option of a registrar takedown, rather than issuing a takedown request to Itch themselves

  • If that were the case, and it was something I chose, I certainly wouldn't mind it anywhere near as much - but the ones being forced upon you by every tech company alive right now are none of those things, and are all data harvesters disguised as utilities.

  • It sort of makes sense for most of the countries on there, as they (or the slice of them in the awkward timezone) aren't big enough to justify splitting their timezones in half. Just pick the one that matches the most people and move on...

But what the bloody hell are countries like Spain, Portugal, and France doing?? Basically their whole country is in the wrong timezone!

  • Yeah, if Iwantmyname are so neglectful as to pull the entire plug on your website over a singlular copyright claim, then I'd move right the fuck along too. They're clearly not a trustworthy registrar.

To make things worse, Itch.io isn't exactly a small company either. If this happened to someone smaller, with less outreach to fight back with than Itch, I can only imagine they'd have no recourse against this neglectful behaviour.

  • Fair. But if that's the case, the last line is over budget with the last "f..."

  • Considering the "hallucinations" I've seen, they're definitely high something haha

  • Honestly makes sense. An entire regime just fell, and the whole situation is volatile AF.

Might as well see where the chips fall before letting more people in or kicking anyone out.

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you have any doubts that Trump is in bed with Russia, wait until his peace deal comes out - I guarantee you it'll be the almost exact same abhorrent "give me your all your land or else" peace deal Russia already offered to Ukraine. Ukraine will (again) vehemently refuse, because what moral country would abandon its land and people to Russia, and Trump will use that refusal to pull funding from Ukraine "because they don't want peace" or "they refuse to negotiate"

  • I think AI tools have (and will have) their uses, but AI as a whole has been hyped up so much for so long now that the bubble is bound to burst sooner or later.

And when it does, hopefully we can go back to not having AI shoved into every fucking thing imaginable...

No I don't want an AI on my phone or computer trawling through all my data for you, just to give me some handy search feature I almost certainly won't use.

  • So Funko issued a non-apology blaming Brandshield.

Brandshield issued a non-apology blaming the registrar (Iwantmyname), and saying their AI tool definitely had nothing to do with it

And Iwantmyname hasn't even put out a statement.

Fucked all around, yet it seems nobody will be facing consequence for this except Itch.io who got their website nuked out of nowhere.

Though if I were Itch, I'd get a new registrar ASAP.

  • Looks like it's meant to be an antioxidant.

Did some looking up and apparently natural chlorophyll can be an antioxidant (when not in light), but it doesn't seem to be a very potent one.

Considering similar fads have existed with chlorophyll, scepticism is advised

  • While I honestly believe nobody can get that kind of money ethically, the fact that he actually put his money where his mouth was on philanthropy whike still alive, and almost all anonymously, is very admirable

  • Abstraction. These people are in such a different class compared to the average person that they basically don't associate with them, so they never see the consequence of their downright evil actions... up until a scorned man with nothing to lose makes them very clear very quickly.

  • TIL that chlorophyll is a supplement. Can't say I've ever thought of it that way

  • It's not like this is all that unexpected. The people who are using it legally now were almost certainly using it before it was legallised too - now they're just allowed to say they do without trouble. I doubt that many people decided to just hop on board as soon as it was legalised.
