I Was a Health Insurance Executive. What I Saw Made Me Quit.
  • And I'm talking about another time in history in a country where the elite had taken too many of the resources for themselves, that the average person could no longer accept which, resulted in violence that affected massive changes..

  • I Was a Health Insurance Executive. What I Saw Made Me Quit.
  • He basically facilitated mass murder.. Most people will feel good when such a person is killed.

Murder of high level people has always been a very effective way for the lower classes to fight back when the elite has taken too much for themselves. It's often the only way to affect change if the elite is corrupt enough.

The problem is it's not good for stability which hurts the stock markets and the elites.

  • Trump brings chaos back to Washington by attempting to kill bipartisan budget deal with Musk’s help
  • What on earth are you talking about?

Tesla is about the only company that actually makes money selling EVs.

The stock price has increased about 100% over the last year.

The all time high of the stock was literally 4 days ago..

  • Trump brings chaos back to Washington by attempting to kill bipartisan budget deal with Musk’s help
  • Like being the CEO of one of the only companies that's managed to make electric cars profitable while also being the CEO of the first company to ever reuse space rockets and boosters..

I don't like him as a person but I can recognise that he's a pretty remarkable CEO.

  • 2024: Hottest year to date, and first year over 1.5ºC
  • I'm frustrated by the discourse too but I'm not sure it's for the same reasons as you.

What frustrates me is we never seem to discuss goals and why we have those goals.

Is the goal to keep the average temperature of earth as low as possible for as long as possible?

Is it to minimize the impact and costs for humans?

What exactly are we aiming for, and why?

What is your frustration with the discourse?

  • 2024: Hottest year to date, and first year over 1.5ºC
  • But what exactly do you want to change?

Lets say you had absolute power and could make whatever decisions for the human race you'd want.

    I'm curious what you'd decide.

Im not saying there aren't things we can do better, but it's also not as easy as people make it out to be.

  • Excellent anti smoking ad
  • Everyone above 14 knows how dangerous smoking is. Doesn't make it less cool. Tbh it probably makes it more cool to most people.

This campaign is about as stupid as it gets.

It basically points out the only legit positive thing about smoking which is the fact that it looks cool.

  • Excellent anti smoking ad
  • Because smoking looks cool..

Very few people thinks smoking is uncool. It's obviously a health risk but I think that's part of the reason it's seen as cool. It's dangerous.

Just like riding a motorcycle, if there wasn't any increased danger associated with it, it wouldn't be cool.

  • Zelenskyy: No world leader has the right to negotiate with Putin on behalf of Ukraine
  • You realize we're helping Ukraine because it's in our own best interest right?

People are acting like we do it out of our good hearted nature.

Also, we don't get to speak for Ukraine just because we're helping them. I'm tempted to say obviously but apparently it's not that obvious.

What the US has a right to do is stop it's support.
