It does not seem like a bot to me, what makes you think of it ? And even if it was a bot, what makes you say that it is "cosplaying as an Arab" ?

Is it really hard to make a classic beer bottle stand in sand? I'd think that by "screwing" it you can make the sand underneath flat enough, but i never actually tried so I'm maybe missing some obvious practical obstacle.

In french, there is Dansons la Capucine (french link), which is, like many french revolutionary song, based of the melody of the Carmagnole. The Capucine is more destined to children, but still written by a revolutionary (or its grandma it seems).

Well, it may depends on the style you're going for.

If this is pixel art, which i found relatively easy when having no big artistic background, i can recommend those youtube channels : AdamCYounis, Brandon James Greer, and Pixel Pete. I also hugely recommend the series of mini-tutorial over here, it's pixel art tutorial all in pixel art, and it's amazing.

If you're looking for other styles, i don't have ressources to learn. People already recommended Gimp and Inkscape (and Blender, you can do a bit of 2D in there as well, though it may not be the most comfortable way). I'd also add Krita, which is more meant for traditional drawing. It works way better with a graphics tablet though, but even a cheap one does the trick.

Looks amazing ! Did the sugar in the custard/goumeau balanced the sourness of the plums ? In my family, we typically put a lot of sugar for plums and rhubarb pies, and in the end, the sourness is outweighed by the sugar.
