Joe Pera Talks With You was an underappreciated treasure that I think deserves way more viewers. Here's one of my favorite scenes.
  • Wonderful, wonderful show. My introduction was Ambient Swim's inclusion of "Joe Pera talks you to sleep." Then when the recommendations showed me he had a series, I tried it and was hooked.

His character makes me cry good tears. I laugh so hard. When Lulu returned his greeting in the restaurant but tacked on that "Don't come over here." I was slain.

I still can't tell if he's waiting to "finish the DVD commentary" to break character, or if he's actually like that.

  • Team earth is best
  • I was thinking the OC could've (should've) started some shit by putting them in order by distance from the sun as they are now, except for putting Saturn before Mercury. And then enjoy the hand wringing.

  • A Cool Guide To Batman Logos
  • The 1989 logo - as a kid I could not see the bat in the negative space. The movie, the toys, all of it; I just accepted that an open maw in need of braces for its yellow teeth was the chosen logo for an otherwise typical and cool superhero.

  • It's Saturday, what have you watched this week?
  • I just watched Abigail. I liked it a lot better than I thought I would. The trailers made me think it was a garbage one-dimensional movie, but now having seen it I'm not sure the trailers could've been better without exposing too much. Maybe not the greatest movie, just better than expected.

I recently finished Attack on Titan. The last season was a bit of a struggle for me to get through as this was my 3rd attempt in, but I'm very glad I got there. The final end credits scenes were breathtakingly surreal.

I rewatched Demon Slayer up through Mugen Train, and for the first time am on the Entertainment District arc. I watch subbed but for fun I tried one dubbed - as soon as I heard Inosuke I switched back.

  • Hey, I Own This Place. Why Not Spam It?/Sequencer Drama
  • I'm waiting on an Amazon refund. They're really dragging their feet. The problem is that the packager opened and stole the Nintendo Switch game cart, then shipped me the empty case and shrink wrapping. I have since returned the "remains" and bought another copy from a different seller. But it's been 3 weeks since then with no updates.

I am in the wrong place, though. I got nothing to offer a synthesizer community. Here's a vocoder video though. https://youtu.be/5kc-bhOOLxE?si=DLJ-8wf6Vxz-xA1B

  • Are there artisticly vivid, custom Excel skins?

Today at work my team rolled our eyes at the latest uttering of "This is a living, breathing document." I then joked that maybe we could give the spreadsheet some warts and some hair. That got me thinking - are there skins/mods for Excel that are cartoony and ridiculous? A cursory web search only turns up things that look "professional".

Have y'all seen that nasty skin banana? Doesn't this world have that, but in Excel? I'd like to see each cell have not-so-straight lines, some cells with little bumps/warts here and there, and little gross hairs in the corners. Bonus points if they pulsate. A pivot table could maybe have an appearance like it's protruding out of the sheet, like a cartoon character who swallowed a safe and you can see the big square on their belly. Filtered rows could look like old skin wrinkles. "Excel illustrated by the one(s) responsible for Ren and Stimpy," I guess.

And that's just one gross hypothetical version. How about themes like Lisa Frank, or the menu from a Final Fantasy game. Think about the worlds in Super Mario Bros 3. Couldn't we have spreadsheets that are themed like a desert, an ice world, or a jungle.

I'm running out of ideas but hopefully you get the picture.

    DO THESE EXIST?
