What's the most petty/pointless/pedantic hill you're willing to die on?
  • There are only 2 types of people I see who use the word "yummy"

    • People in cooking communities

    • People on Reddit, 4chan, etc.. commenting on women who appear to be under the age of 16

Last time I saw this was on the AI image subreddit.

  • Corn 🌽
  • Well golly gee, I guess that means GMO crops that are bred to survive glyphosate and other pesticides must be the same thing then!

All I see here is an attempt to amalgamate GMO's and selective breeding to manipulate public perception... which leads to higher profits.

  • Corn 🌽
  • Ok.. but the reason why people don't like GMOs is because they're bred to be doused in pesticides. They also can cross-pollinate with non-GMO's to create non viable seeds among other things.

  • Efficient distribution of labour my ass
  • Only half of the world’s croplands are used to grow crops that are consumed by humans directly. We use a lot of land to grow crops for biofuels and other industrial products, and an even bigger share is used to feed livestock.

This is a beef and corn problem fueled by subsidies.

  • Just one more lane
  • Exactly, thank you. If you build a 6-lane highway in Montana it's not going to magically fill up with traffic, thus one can conclude that context is missing from the Reddit-tier explanation of induced demand or that the entire idea of induced demand is wrong.
