Look, Unity that backed the changes of the fall guy have removed the fall guy they backed. Now they wait a couple years and use the idea later to hopefully less backlash with a new fall guy who they can remove if the backlash is bad again.
Is no one else going to say it? Okay, fine I'll say it.
He kept coming from that handy during the musical too.
Oh! I'll check that out. I have Firefox and I use YouTube revanced but I'd like more blocking capabilities for when I oops and open up chrome.
Video playing, ad that scrolls, two lines of a story, the bottom popping up with notifications every few minutes over the top of more scrolling ads.
Yay internet.
Edit: Oh wow! Did not expect so many responses. First let me say, thank you for taking the time to read and respond! To address the biggest response to use Firefox I actually have it on my phone it's just remembering to break the habit. This was more to show what an average user who just uses what they're used to experiences on mobile browsing.
That's all. I just felt like telling people. He's 11 and I'm just so excited he gave something new and difficult for him a shot.
It's still incorrect, I read that. The item may be considered a micro transaction but it doesn't paywall re-adjusting a character on the fly
It gives you access to the shapeshift spell, which lasts for the duration of the cast before wearing off.
...this comment is incorrect, read the DLC page you linked it says nothing about re-adjusting your character.
Been learning python for selenium and I love it. I know some C# and Javascript but I enjoy Python a lot more as a newb.
So I install windows all the time for work but I noticed something. We found an old laptop running windows 7. It has an inferior CPU, slower ram compared to our windows 10 and windows 11 systems. The only thing similar is both use integrated graphics.
The 7, which does struggle to boot, is far more responsive than our enterprise 10 and 11 systems after startup. The search function works much better on the 7. I wasn't served a single ad or suggestion on the 7.
This is mostly an observation and it's completely anecdotal, I just enjoyed the 7 more than the modern windows experience. In fact it felt closer to my Steam Deck which has now pushed me over to just dumping windows at home and trying to go Linux only.
Okay before I get dog piled, I've really enjoyed Dragonflight. I love that everything I do progresses my character. I don't feel like my characters are left behind and I don't feel like wow token whales are leagues ahead of me.
The problem is more psychological I think. Retail has constantly pushed me to play as a solo player before dragonflight. Everything however was way more positive so I grabbed a group of friends and for about five months we steadily did things together. Well soon it was just me out of the eight or so playing. So I decided I wanted to try group play and I have to say PUGs for anything are just pure toxicity.
I joined a large guild, but they feel no different than going through LFG/LFR. I run mythics but I've had people brick keys at the first sign of difficulty or new tanks/healers queuing for higher keys without knowing the boss mechanics then leaving at a boss wipe.
It's pretty bad that I log on excited but that's only because I enjoy dragon riding. I do a couple of laps to explore or look atound, then disconnect because the thought of playing with people is a bummer.
I know people aren't looking to be assholes. I also know that their fun is dependent on everyone being decent at the content and that can sometimes make decent people act poorly if someone isn't.
At this point I just wish WoW was a solo game, at least retail. It pushed me for so many expansions to play solo just give me AI companions with similar gear to my own and let me play in a sandbox all to myself.
Isn't that a bit of hyperbole? If it was turning into what you said we'd be seeing a far greater amount of servers than we are.
The point of the fediverse is decentralization. That means if you have a predominant rigid viewpoint you can find an instance that shares that view. I don't think at the current state of development that the fediverse can have a dominating instance that connects everything. It's up to you to create a community you feel is missing on the instance you've settled in if no other federated instances have that community.
We've proven through Facebook, Reddit, and Twitter that we suck at communicating across groups on social media and are more interested in insulting whoever disagrees with us than communicatimg effectively.
That being said the Fediverse is young. Things aren't perfect. It's still less censored than almost any other social media platforms aside from 4chan and I'd urge you to use that if you are looking for anti-censorship.
For myself, I've picked out a dozen instances and I drift between them all while I figure this out. I treat it just like my half dozen alt accounts I had on RiF.
I don't think the goal is to increase the popularity at the moment. I think it's manage the chaos. The fediverse has had a massive increase over the past few days and you kind of need to use the emergency tools that are part of federations to manage that growth.
I mean I'm just one person but I'm here to stay and if it shrinks or grows I don't really care I just know I don't want to go back to Reddit. I also like the ability to defederate as I've seen that reddit has had a long history of allowing bad actors to go untouched because they've never broken an actual rule.
