The Right Has a Bluesky Problem
  • What a bunch of garbage. The left doesn't need the right, but the right needs the left.....for trolling! Twitter is just as bad or good as it's always been. I use it once or twice a week. But my political views do not dictate every aspect of my life.

  • Trump's deportation vow alarms Texas construction industry
  • Yes, they should be punished for paying below minimum wage. Regardless of the workers legal status. And they should be punished for employing anyone who isn't legally allowed to work here. Hit them with a double whammy. Not some bullshit 6 or low 7 figure number.

We don't get to pick and choose which laws to follow.

  • Trump's deportation vow alarms Texas construction industry
  • I know this may be difficult for you to believe, but there are those who actually like working outside. Now, for what wage is a different discussion.

Our species is good at adapting. We wouldn't have made it this far if we weren't. If those doing the job for a third of the federal minium wage (source needed) were no longer able to, we would be forced to higher citizens for a legal wage (not less than minimum).

Your comment reads as if you're in favor or are ok with illegal immigrants being exploited. I certainly hope not.

  • GOP senator introduces bill to legally erase transgender people
  • Not stating anything in the article isn't true, but wouldn't it be better to post a less biased source? That website has a very obvious bias. The other day, someone used motherjones as a source. I know Lemmy is extremely left leaning, but left wing rags shouldn't be used as legitimate sources.

The headline alone should be enough to avoid that website. No one is trying to erase them. That's hyperbole.

  • Microsoft's official "Bing Wallpaper app" does some nasty, malware-like things to Windows
  • While scummy indeed, if you need a desktop application to get yourself new wallpapers, my sympathy only goes so far.

Also not at all surprised the top comment speaks of Linux.

Linux, hating Musk, and Star Trek: the Lemmy trifecta.

  • 'Huge fight': Warring factions inside Trump transition get into 'big blowup' at Mar-a-Lago
  • You and I define hostile very differently. If you can't have a calm conversation with perceiving hostility, I would advise against online conversations. Interpreting tone of text without hearing a literal tone of voice and facial expressions can be difficult for some.

Not everyone is talking about Trump. That's a serious case of TDS. Just because the media, who loves him, for obvious reasons, chooses to discuss him 24/7 doesn't imply the average person is. I can't recall the last time I spoke to someone in person about him. It happens enough online for my taste.

You can word it how you want, but you are defending them; a thing can be two things. I'm sorry if this upsets you.

Have a wonderful weekend. You deserve it.

  • 'Huge fight': Warring factions inside Trump transition get into 'big blowup' at Mar-a-Lago
  • The fact that you're defending late night talk show hosts so hard is odd. Do you work for one of the shows?

No one is putting a gun to their head and forcing them to discus the orange man. It's a choice. This can't be argued.

  • 'Huge fight': Warring factions inside Trump transition get into 'big blowup' at Mar-a-Lago
  • No need to bootlick talk show hosts. There is always plenty going on in the world. They choose to discuss him every night. To say that's all they could talk about is gross hyperbole. They are lazy. The writers are lazy. Trump is some of the lowest hanging fruit in the last 50 years.
