Time is the most valuable bonus for me. Pre orders usually come with early access these days, yes I know its a bullshit practice , but I don’t have that much time to play games anymore. So If I can play something I’ll eventually play anyway early, I don’t see why should I wait.

Diablo 4 was a great recent example, early access starting on the weekend for extra money.

I couldn’t give less fucks about this tbh. I always pre order games I know I’ll play or that look interesting to me, and I’m not going to change it. Every single COD since BO4, every single AC since Origins. And I’m going to do the same this and every year. I didn’t regret it yet and if I would, there is always a refund option 🤷🏼‍♂️.

Nope, since I left reddit I spend less time mindlessly looking at my phone. But I do enjoy lemmy in healthy doses.

Simple, I don't. I play whatever I feel like playing, sometimes I stick with it, sometimes I start again after a year and well sometimes, I never touch that game again.
