What are your thoughts on AI?

  • The pushback against genAI's mostly reactionary moral panic with (stupid|misinformation|truth stretching) talking points , such's :

    • AI art being inherently "plagiarising"
    • AI using as much energy's crypto , the AI = crypto mindset in general
    • AI art "having no soul" , .
    • "Peops use AI to do «BAD THING» , therefour AI ISZ THE DEVILLLL ‼‼‼"
    • .

    Any legitimate criticisms sadly drowned out by this bollocks , can't trust anti AI peops to actually criticise the tech . Am bitter

  • Lꝏk at how many news domains I filtered in my lemmy client app (isn't even all of them , the form just stopped expanding past certain point)

    Sick ofv hearing about those two guys , don't use social media to lꝏk at news links , the 1-2 news sites I actually do follow are basicly text-only with no images . But am not doing this out of politics avoidance , it's for different reasons

    Particularly infuriating are this and memes (which I also don't care about) seem to make up like 80% total threadiverse content . Peops wonder wy peops stay on reddit lol

  • Disappointing to hear . Only app I know of with concept of linking all your fediverse accounts into unified client + it being only way I can access bluesky on android bcus neither (official app|browser client) let's me access the site (can login just fine on windows , but am currently PCless)

    There should at least be open source app like it

  • Also how discord dœs stickers . Like custom emojes , they're tied to discord servers , unless you have nitro then you can use them everywhere . Such BS system , shoulda done them how LINE dœs them : you only need to buy the sticker pack once then you use them anywhere , no shitty subscription needed !

  • Very underrated smell imo , tho I don't see myself actually smoking cigs , health risks seem not worth it for me
