To your last point- Posting comments on lemmy is an incredibly low-effort move.

That must have been frustrating. How many times did it lock you out from trying again?

I'm pretty sure that only stands if the family wants to claim the estate or bodily-remains.

I think I have a limited amount of empathy for the new homeless couple that's about to have $4.4 million in the bank. -Rarely do cases of eminent domain go so well and unlike eminent domain, this was apparently their own doing.

It's not a gross oversimplification. If Russian aggression had really been that important there would have been a stronger reaction back in 2014, but back then our military industrial complex was already churning out profits for a different foreign engagement. -An engagement also against brown people.

I know it sounds trite but his hostility towards Rosie O'donell back in '06-'07 cemented my disdain for him.

It's worth a watch if only just for the effects and the world-building. I'm not against the premise, either, but like the title of the sub points out there was poor execution.

Tom Hanks, maybe. I used to say "he's never done a bad movie" but then I saw his WWII movie that aired on AppleTV

-I don't know if any actors are good enough to pull me in like that. There are however, a couple of major directors that guarantee I am going to the theatre. Guillermo Del Toro is probably the most likely one that comes to mind. Ridley Scott and James Cameron are likely to get me in the theatre as well.

It seems to me that when there's a need to give members of a firing squad "plausible deniability" then it's because someone on the squad knows it's unethical to participate in the first place and therefore makes one more argument in favor of eliminating the death penalty altogether.

-It seems similar to an argument against using a paralytic in the lethal injection. If the immediate audience is too squeamish or shocked to participate in such events then it's probably because those events shouldn't be taking place.

In my state if you swim in any body of water it's almost always tainted somehow, maybe not with sewage but perhaps some other toxic pollutant. The only exception I can think of is the man-made reservoirs used for drinking water that people swim...
