This is very common for fighting games, street fighter 6 did the same thing (still waiting for Akuma). I'm glad that the game will be supported for the foreseeable future and we can have major tournaments supported by Bandai with these sales. Call it Stockholm syndrome if you want but I'm going to put 3k+ hours into tekken 8 not including tournament playtime, and I'd rather have balance patches and new characters added over the lifespan of the game. Remember Harada has to show continued income and interest to the Bandai Namco execs to warrant development.
