Is Texas about to put a Democrat in the Senate? | Colin Allred is gaining on Ted Cruz
  • I'm in MN and this is why I love mail in voting for all. I was able to sit down at my computer with my ballot and research all of the non-partisan candidates to see who they really are. There absolutely was a conservative nutjob vying for every contested spot.

  • I have a piece of furniture with a snap in power station and it probably has USB 1.0 ports on it. I don't care how cool the tech is, if you're trying to incorporate it into a long lasting product like furniture, it really needs to be a standard module that is easy to upgrade. Mine snaps out but I have no idea if an updated version exists anywhere because there's no standardization and this furniture company doesn't show anything on their website.

  • I don't understand why underbaked borderline raw cookies are such a popular trend.
  • I think what bothers him is that he had something that he liked and can no longer find. It may not be the case here, but companies (in the US) are en masse changing their recipes to be cheaper to manufacture and it's affecting the end product.

In the case of something like a cookie which can be made 1000 different ways by 1000 different companies, finding what you like took time, luck, or both. When they change the recipe on you, it's not a simple, "just buy a different cookie, dummy." It's a major undertaking. Sometimes you get lucky and this was the push that allowed you to discover a new, even better, favorite. More often than not though, it's just another part of your day that got a little bit shittier than it was yesterday.

It's annoying and I totally get it.

  • "Some lady".

No, he's been quite clear that Olivia Munn was there at some crucial times for him.

I don't know anything about the relationship with his first wife, but shit happens and calling Olivia Munn some lady from rehab really undersells it.

  • Distros for tablets?

I have a couple of Surface tablets that I'd like to put Linux on if possible. The one I want to try first is a 5th gen Surface Pro. If all goes well I would then try it on a Surface Go 2 and hopefully could keep the cellular access.

What resources are available for doing this? The little I've read so far makes me think that it is a buggy process and maybe not worth the effort involved.
