First you claim to be against genocide. Then you write:
I will be watching with bated breath the day your society finally, rightfully falls.
What kind of mental gymnastics is that supposed to be? Obviously you are indeed in favor of genocide, as long as only Jewish people are the victims of it. Or what exactly do you think would happen to its Jewish citizens, if Israel were to “fall”, as you trivialize it?
Why even bother with someone who obviously is not interested in arguments and only wants to spit poison? I propose swift bans instead of feeding such trolls by giving them attention. I think this thread only gives them a platform and we should consider locking it soon.
Simply nothing of what you (and other hexbears) claim has happened here. You guys seem to instantly turn off your brains and jump to false conclusions once you see anything related to Jewish people living their lives. The posted comic in fact depicts an argument between two Jewish neighbors, one from Europe, one from North Africa. Nothing in it is dehumanizing Palestinians or even touching the conflict between Israel and Palestine. Read the material from the first post again, this time slowly and carefully and you might still get it.
Oh man, this is probably going to escalate quickly :c
Indeed, could not be more sensitive. I hope people will stay on topic and be cool.
I personally find your point valid but please stay on topic (graphic novels).
I am honestly confused, are there any Palestinian characters in the posted pages? The two guys having an argument are obviously both Jewish ...
Edit: Did you read all three pages?
That is a very misleading headline. Carpet bombing over 30.000 civilians to death is not self defense, not even close to it.
And yet… should I have posted this? I’m not sure.
Of course you should have, because the art is pretty good anyway. Stuff can have aspects that we like and others that we don´t like and it´s fine.
Beautiful images and again a really nice article written around it. My late cat Tove (Astrid´s sister) was named after Jansson.
That is an interesting style, reminds me a lot of Miguelanxo Prado.
Good to know that you will take better care of yourself now <3
Crazy stuff, very funny in it's absurdity!
O_O This is amazing and disgusting at the same time. I am not going to look into the poop stuff but the ones you posted are great!
Jakarta? You mean Kemajoran, right?! ;)
Actually I kinda did 15yrs ago, but I had serotonin poisoning at the time
Scary, I am very sorry you had to endure that.
Yeah, that reminds me of a documentary about a "snake specialist" who went to the indian jungle, into a temple ruin to meet and cuddle a huge ancient king cobra. She even kissed the snake on the mouth. Just seeing it on the screen was almost unbearable, all my instincts kept screaming "RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN YOU IDIOT!", lol.
Also liked both but liked the series better, which is not surprising as it was a much bigger project, so they could polish it much more.
Show your support for the show and increase the chance to get a second season by signing the petition!
This is the best sci-fi I have seen for years, and I do not mean animated sci-fi but sci-fi in general! The beautiful artistic style of the show is heavily inspired by the art of Moebius, Hayao Miyazaki, Philippe Druillet and Alexandro Jodorowsky and also references such beloved classics as AKIRA, ALIEN and many more. Please watch it on Netflix if you can, it will increase the chance of a second season of this masterpiece getting produced. The ones of you who have already watched it, what do you think?
I had almost forgotten about this gem, after reading it decades ago as a kid. In hindsight, Chninkel had a strong impact on my developing love for comics, quite comparable to The Incal and AKIRA. While the drawings are not as perfect as the work of the grandmasters Moebius and Otomo, the narrative of Chninkel hits even harder imo. Twelve year old me was especially triggered by the oppression and injustice of the scenario and I still remember being stunned by the hard struggle the little protagonist has to endure. NEVER GIVE UP LITTLE CHNINKEL!
I used to regularly put images in comments by using ![]()
. Suddenly that does not work anymore, help!
It stopped working for me (and also another user) a few days ago. Until I post the comment it is fine but when I post it, the url of the image is getting automatically changed into a format that does not work.
Before posting it looks like this:
![](https://i.imgur.com/yFXLOOY.jpg)
However, posting it changes the url into this (non working) url
![](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FyFXLOOY.jpg)
I will post the same image as a comment in this thread from two different accounts to illustrate.
How did this suddenly change, I never had problems posting images in comments before?
What can I do to fix this? I like posting images in comments and would be very happy if I could go back to it?
