  • They take responsibility, but don't actually stop putting pressure on him. "But I also think flip it the other way, we've got a duty as a team to perform, got 900 people who depend on us to make the right choice for the team..."

  • RE: Lego Masters - It's the writing. Will Arnett is an incredibly funny comedian with decades of success under his belt. But the writing for him on LM is too stiff and not funny. In some of the one on one interactions though you can tell when he's going off script and suddenly things are more natural feeling and so much funnier!

  • It would hit plenty of us working class schmucks too. I don't usually get to treat myself to a bottle, but it's nice for a special occasion to get actual champagne over prosecco. I guess this is the end of that.

  • My guess is they're saving their reconciliation bill for something bigger than a continuing resolution. Congress as a whole is limited to just three a year, and only one of them can be about spending. Kicking the can down the road a couple months seems like a horribly inefficient use for reconciliation.

  • We really do need to choose words wisely when we talk about these things. Inflammatory language only serves to undermine your argument when your claims can be dismissed as exaggeration. Is this a horrific situation? Yes. Is it illegal? Almost certainly. Is it the brazen disregard of law and public opinion people are claiming? Not yet! The Trump admin is allowing Khalil access to family and lawyers, and he will have his day in court. When the arrestees aren't located in a day and given due process, then we can call them disappeared. Until then, call this what it is and no more. Be factual so people can't as easily dismiss your facts.

  • Do you have a circular saw? You can do the dadoes in the sides with that by setting up a guide and taking multiple passes. Use a chisel to clean up the base afterward and it'll be great. For repeatable assembly, maybe go for those threaded inserts combined with hex bolts.
