  • Therapy and work on trying to build a mentality around just letting things so. Change happens rapidly, people don't like change, just gotta fix that mentality and go with the flow of change instead of always pushing against it. Therapist could help find out the why you're so against changes and help change your perspective on it.

Force yourself to do things you know you normally enjoy, can help break a person out of a "rut".

    Best of luck bud.

  • Cat starring out window: " LOOK HOOMAN THERES BIRDS!"

Cat runs to back door: "lemme out, lemme out, lemme out"

lets cat outside, car vrooms past 20 seconds later

Scaredy cat gets spooked by car: "Lemme in, lemme in, lemme in"

cat proceeds to explain what i assume is a tall tale of heroics, birds, and loud mechanical beasts he defended the hoomans from

Repeat above a few times a day.

  • Linus always came off to me as one of those people who shouldn't be mangement. Idk, just watching him in videos feels frustrating, and he seemed to belittle his employees in a joking/non-joking manner.

Some of the other "techs" do seem to be very knowledgeable, and i feel bad for them to have to work under a man child.

    • No shitty P2W mechanic bullshit.
    • Full game on release.
    • no always online requirement.
    • not completely unplayable at launch tripple A title.
    • content amount is worth its purchase value.
    • accessable or soon to be accessable on majority of gaming platforms.
    • community mod support, which drives improvements and long term playability.

    And last but highly important:

    • Development transparency on what the game is and where its headed.
  • Camera can be really dog shit at times outside of the tatical view in combat, thats my only major gripe with the game. Have had a few crashes here and there along side some minor bugs.

Games great, its the closest to a ttrpg in crpg format that I've experienced regarding player choice and the resulting out comes. Makes me excited for future playthroughs to see the different choices and their proceeding outcomes.

Combat is standard turn based cRPG and i enjoy it. Ledges during combat can be a bit of a buggy mess at points however. Charcater level impact feels great.

Im 58 hours in on my solo playthrough and 12hours in on a friend group playthrough. They need to flush out the coop a bit. Not being able to release custom origin PCs from the party kinda sucks when everyones not around. Same with the save file being bound to the lobby host only.

Id toss it in my top 5 games of all time list most likely. Well worth the price if you enjoy crpgs with turnbased mechanics.

  • Id personally ditch the 4 dimm memory setup seeing your mobo is only dual channel, and you risk stressing your IMC, which may hinder performance and possible lead to advertised clock speeds being not stable. Id go with dual sticks with a lower CL and latancy at roughly 6000mhz-6200mhz advertised speeds.

But likely wouldn't be too much of an issue with 4 dimms in duel channel at 5600mhz, seeing thats at the mid-lower end of the performance charts of DDR5.

  • Few things to check:

    • make sure all wires are secure and snuggly attached to everything. Including the rest/power button switches, PCIe devices, sata devices, etc.
    • double check temps before crash to see if theres any issues while idle or under load there.
    • check and possibly post your windows logs and event viewer logs to look for possible issues leading up to right before the power fail events.
    • do you have any overclocks applied? (Including xmp/amp) if so set your motherboard back to defaults and test again.
    • make sure BIOS firmware is up to date (might as well make sure all your other drivers are up to date as well).
    • try each ram dimm one at a time in both primary slots, this may help determine a dimm issue.

Borrow or using another power supply would be the best way to full confirm or deny the issue being a power supply failure. When a computer just instantly powers off like that its usually either a power failure or some kind of critical harware failure hitting a failsafe and shutting down. Normally this issue points to motherboard or psu issues in my experience.

  • By posting memes on Lemmy to piss off Americans, so they start to take formative action after they research the memes context and realise they don't have free health care, cheap/free post secondary education, and mandatory holidays like the EU bros.

    Tldr: Post them memes buddy!

Edit: guys... this is c/memes. Y'all are taking this way too literally lmao. Lighten up a bit ffs.

  • BG3 isnt setup as an mmo style rpg like NWN so you're comparing 2 different game genres to one another. Its like you're saying apples taste better than bike tires, so we should eat apples because they taste better.

That being said you can freely at will attack whatever or whoever you want. So yes theres pvp. But it was never a main focus to begin with.

  • Lol want a picture of my electronics system engineering degree?

Want my CV that includes 7 years working for an electric motor engineering and automation company/firm and 6 years experience with professional electronics repair?

Need a reference to my last employer, who i setup/managed to be the first authorised Apple repair partner in province?

Although outdated would you like my previous certifications from Samsung, HTC, and LG for electronics repair?

I'll provide my engineering credentials as soon as you do as well. Seeing thats your major claim here little man.

Keep sighing and shilling for a multi-billion dollar compnay that employs top level engineers and designers, who rather cut cost in manufactoring to skirt laws and consumer ease of repairability?

And just to add, i think all manufacturers should have easily swapable batteries in their mobile devices.

Fuck outta here with your bullshit assumptions.

  • Context matters if we're talking about the nuances of the english language.

Cute: Appealing in a pretty or endearing way. Cute: Sexually attractive.

In the right context it's a none issue to call a child cute in an endearing way. This is very common.

If you say it meaning the second definition, you should be locked up in jail.

Obviously in this scenario its fine, because you where asked incontext of an endearing manner (I hope), so the repsonse would also be in an endearing manner (i hope).

  • Pop a google search for pokemon scarlet violet trade discord. Highly reccomend joining. Theres a channel there to post and ask for trades. Used it going for my pokedex completion at launch.

Not every pokemon is availble in S/V, so you might need to look up a list of whats possible.

You can also use the pokemon home app to trade pver pokemon from the DS and Switch games.

Internet acces is needed for all the above however.

  • I remember an apology being issued about it iirc.

Personally, I'm fine with mtx if it supports continual development of a game i paid for and enjoyed prior to them being added. As long as the actual meaningful game additions are free or 1-time transactions.

What i don't like is constant FOMO based p2w mechanics that are a requirement to play in any meaningful way, like most mobile time walled games. I also don't like when corpos make decisions like adding DRM to an always online game, that is known to impact users, just points to a devs inability or a monetary kick back of said 3rd party drm to the devs shareholders.

    Shitty situation overall however :(
