Does anyone else feel like 90% of the population is stupid?
  • Epistemology, the theory of knowledge, especially with regard to its methods, validity, and scope. Epistemology is the investigation of what distinguishes justified belief from opinion.

    People suck.

  • ONE PIECE TV Anime is officially getting an anime adaptation remake titled 'THE ONE PIECE' by WIT Studio and Netflix
  • I think this is pretty smart, the original probably isn't getting more popular, just the same people who've stayed caught up over the years, I've tried starting it, but that many episodes is quite daunting. Personally I'm much more likely to watch this as it comes out.

  • MDMA—aka ecstasy—submitted to FDA as part of PTSD therapy
  • You're not wrong, MDMA cannot be pressed into a pill, it falls apart, so any pressed pill with MDMA has to have a binding agent, and usually some other drug to potentiate the experience.

All that being said reagent testing isn't difficult nor expensive and anyone wishing to dabble should definitely look up their pills and test them if possible.

I raved for a few years, took ecstasy perhaps too often, but with experience you learn what to look out for, even the consistency of the pill can let you know its quality or if it is actually full of piperazine which is a anthelmintic which is not a fun experience when you're expecting a solid clean roll.

I stick to tested MDMA nowadays and my preferred route of administration is intravenous, something which you should NEVER do with pressed pills, but is quite good with more pure MDMA in its crystalline form.

  • Music Genres Over Time [Rule]
  • Basically trip hop for people who missed out on or are too young for trip hop.

Nujabes, Massive Attack, Portishead, Unkle, Little Dragon, and many more great artists/bands that all have produced albums and songs that could be described as lofi, often find their work in lofi mixes.

  • Did air travel get (gasp) easier?
  • I travel for a living, was even delivering weed through TSA around covid times. It's gotten better, but it just varies, I kept a toothpaste in my bag for three trips, on the fourth trip it was too big to go through.

  • [meme] Being forced to drive isn't freedom — it's a government-mandated lifetime subscription to oil
  • I mean... I live in a 3 mile town. It's cold as fuck, I live North of a town called North fucking Pole.

I ain't walking for shit, sorry but my car is on half an hour before I even use the damn thing.

You want to fix infrastructure of America, cool. Maybe you'd get my vote. But these memes feel like bs marketing that simply does not apply to our current situation.

  • Oregon rock climber charged over mass killing plot at Smith Rock mountaineering event
  • Although this situation is potentially realistic, we can't stoop to prejudicial thinking, which really makes us no better than a racist or bigot fucking with minority classes, believe it or not, many virgin men do not want to murder people. Let the evidence tell us what crimes he is guilty or innocent of, potentially some motive, and then mete out the necessary punishment. I do not defend misogyny, I despise it.

The only certainty is we are lucky they caught him before he was able to act on the alleged plot.

  • Gamers who have gamed for a long time
  • Come and goes for me, I try to play only one RPG or adventure type game at a time to remain hooked to the plot, several hours into Final Fantasy 8 on steam at the moment, played Xenogears on my steamdeck using emulation before it. I'm in my thirties for reference.

  • Would eating raw human brains make you high?
  • As far as the pineal gland goes, a book written in 2000 (DMT: The Spirit Molecule) declares the pineal gland produces enough DMT (Dimethyltryptamine) to experience hallucinogenic effects but this has not been confirmed, trace amounts of DMT has been found in the pineal glands of rats, but not humans. If there was enough DMT in a pineal gland and you ate it, you would also need to inhibit certain enzymes that break it down, namely, Monoamine Oxidase.
