  • AI “art” has made me realize how important part human behind art is to the point where I will never pay for any AI “art”. AI “art” is worthless and I would even say it devalues rest of the thing, if its part of some bigger whole like game for example. I do not want to see it, I dont want even glimpse. When I see AI “art”, its only a reminder to me of theft that has been done to make it happen and of some smarmy slimy techbro behind it. Whenever I see AI “art” only thing I feel is either sad or angry depending on day.

If I was religious type, Id even go as far as say I believe in soul now because how soulless AI “art” is.

I am fucking sick of it and deeply despise AI “art” in its entirety with every fiber of my being.

I am sure I will get downvoted to deepest depths by techbros and people who dont care and simply consume whatevers brought in front of them, use every AI filter they get their hands on. But hey, I was asked, I gave my answer.

  • I somewhat agree.

I still say, be cautious with underestimating them. Russia may not have pure strength alone to oppose whole EU but … thats the thing, they and other dictators around the world are NOT alone and they are actively helping each other. Wherever there might be a tiny ray of hope of a dictatorship falling and becoming a democracy, they invite foreign ”experts” to help crush opposition. They have been interfering with elections and trying to sow discord in west for decades (just look at US) and they have found lots of allies in greedy businessmen of the west.

Now that they dont anymore have to focus on US so much with their influencing and misinformation campaigns, guess whos next? EU.

What once was a good thing, internet anonymity, is turning out to be at least a double edged sword thanks to troll farms… and now that AI is rapidly advancing and coming to our everyday lifes, its only gonna get worse.

Ukraine is not only fighting against Russia but Russia that has its back covered by China, India, Iran etc.

Please, seriously, read the book I mentioned.

  • You had me until last part. Belittling level of threat that Russia and its allies pose is not good. Not good at all. Belittling encourages apathy and sense of superiority, which we cant afford.

I recommend ”Autocracy, inc.” book from last year 2024 by Anne Applebaum (which won a pulitzer) to you, all americans, europeans and anyone who actually cares about democracy, human rights.

Sadly, Russia and its allies are no joke. They are a threat we must take seriously.

  • Yup.

And even if you want to order something online, its super easy to find local or at least European small business alternatives. Im doing some 3D printing project and I need leather straps (Im making pipboy for my phone) - took me like 5-10 minutes to find several local and European small businesses with their own online stores.

As cheap as amazon if not cheaper.

Havent used amazon in 4 years, never will again. Fck Bezos and his ilk.

  • This whole tipping culture is reaaaallly hard trying to land here northern EU and I absolutely hate it, I refuse to tip anyone. Employers, pay your employees a living wage, it shouldnt be up to customers generosity. You cant? Then sounds like you should charge more of your customers, downsize your business until you can… or go out of business, since sounds like your profitable business is not actually profitable.

  • Hellgate London was such fun, unique hybrid twist on ARPG and looter shooter, I was sad when I heard it was shutdown.

I woulda played it more if I had known it was about to be shutdown. There were some crash bugs and sudden difficulty spikes that made me quit, thinking Id come back to it later. That later never happened.
