My revenge was deleting every helpful post/comment I had (I got lazy 5 minutes in kinda sucks that there is no way to delete your post history once reddit bans you, you can delete your account but posts and commentd stay up, the only way to remove them is to edit them)
I feel attacked lmao, reddit automoda/policy is abusive now, I commented on a front page post with an alt and it permbanned 3 of my 10 year old accounts instantly no appeal. I kinda do like that they forced me to give lemmy a second look.
The mods just ban ppl willy nilly, how am i supposed to keep track of what banned me, if they have detection tools they should be able to auto ban my alts or hide those subs from my view or better yet not even let me comment on them, instead they asssume evasion and perm ban your ip.

Lemmy devs are kinda of set in going their direction, thats been added to piefed and mbin, I doubt lemmy will add that just like lemmy will never add following because the ppl developing it dont want it here

Yeah I unfollow ppl if they like stuff I dont like since it taints the algorithim, for the most part I get a suprisingly decent feed on my official real person account, and a really good one for my 3d visuals account.
I like seeing other ppls likes, my whole twitter feed used to be some of my friends likes that ithe algorithim realized I enjoyed (itd show who liked it when showing you the post) my feed went to shit after they turned that off.
Seems to be because of a problem in yarn, linkwarden and joplin have issues too (someone replied on my yunohost forum post with a github link witth ppl discussing it)

most of social media is anonymous, ill remember you theoctonaut from mander, that makes this social media, I remember some users and see them pop up all the time, theres a social aspect, its not just sharing links
helps a little if they have close to standard names
I need to redload reddit or some frontend so I can steal interesting links from there to post, one day ill be bored and feel like growing some communities
I do think if any of those pop culture communities get abnend because of a controversy they might come here, isnt there a defederated drama community?
I don't feel out of it, but I also use tiktok, ig reels (suprisingly amazing algorithim, least controversial, my 3d edm visual profile (amateur af) only sees 3d and edm reels for the most part, doesn't really favor low follower counts but its great for popular stuff.
I miss old twitter, wondering if any mastodon or pleroma instance is like that. Sharkey seems more tumblr ppls vibe. It was always current and fun to talk in.
Reddits out of it forsure, ppl can identify a redditor and its never a compliment lol. I always hated when ppl called me on, but they were spot on. Lemmy's not too bad, ppl just dont seem to care about pop culture here, might be due to lack of communities or posters, gotta be the change you want to see in growing communities like this.
I need to start posting more stuff on the edm ones, I feel out of the loop there and want them to be as active as reddit was.
I think ads just showing off the ui and how usable it is would work, I didnt see it til I logged in on an app (was using reddit mostly on phone so I didn't check out the websites originally)
Anyone had luck installing it recentlly? It worked one day and then some update got pushed (not to misskey/sharkey but something they depend on) and now I can't install it. I'm pretty sure its not exclusive to sharkey or my vps, saw people talking about it for unrelated stuff.
