Growing my hair, I seem to be now entering... The Awkward Stage™
  • I stopped washing everyday and my scalp thanks me for it. I was my hair about every 5 to 7 days

Me too, I usually wash it only on Sundays...but sometimes it just feels like a big chore, it's so much effort...

Probably because I don't know how to dry it effectively...maybe I need to watch a tutorial?

do make sure to put some oil in it once it's dry though.

me too, I put oil every once in a while and brush them everyday to keep it nice. I have fairly long hair now (3+ years growing!)

  • Headbands and scrunchies are your friend!

    confirm!

Also milestones worth celebrating (say, with a beer or smoothie or banana split):

    • Hair in the eyes ✔️
    • Hair in the mouth ✔️
    • Hair down the throat ✔️
    • Hair at the shoulders ✔️
    • Using an entire Costco bottle of fancy conditioner every month ✔️

I guess I have to catch up with my celebrations, yeah!

    I'd also add

    • I am going to shower but I'm not washing my hear because it takes too much time to wash and then to dry!
  • Your apology is an insult
  • an upset expression from a 6'2" person is somewhat more affective

I giggled (and I'm sorry you hate your body, I understand your feelings, can't do much about it except offering you hugs ♥️)! I doubt that would work for me as I'm literally the opposite of a strong person sooo nobody would get scared lol 😂

  • Side note, I'm reasonably sure this is why my cat at the time suddenly became more affectionate, he didn't really like men so when I stopped smelling like one he stopped perceiving me that way. This was well before any visible changes occurred.

wow this is really mind-blowing! and I'm super happy that your cat sees you as a woman ♥️ please tell your cat that alice said hi and cuddle them for me ♥️

  • maybe people "feared" telling you even if they noticed because they were afraid of making you uncomfortable!

or maybe they thought that anyone is allowed to smell nice not only girl and those are the best vibes.

It's really really funny when one of my best friends (who is a girl) tells me "you smell like my ex girlfriend...and I like it" lol

  • First of all: I don't know.

    But here's my two hypothesis:

    • girls can detect other girls by smell (pheromones or something like that?) and by taking HRT you start producing that same smell (unlikely, but funnier)
    • girls (both cis and trans) use hygiene products that smell nicer (and "girlier"). Most shower products "for girls" smell like fruit or tea or something like that, while products "for boys" smell like car deodorant or chemicals.
  • More WIP Wednesday
  • when I started crocheting it was a few months before Christmas. I was making a rainbow shawl and I wanted to gift it to my cousin for Christmas.

I ended up giving it to her on Easter. You're probably thinking "well that's not too bad, only a few months late". It was not that Easter, took more than one year.

In reality it only took me a month of actual work, but I wasn't very consistent with my work :D
