DCS 2.8.8.43489 Changelog
  • “New feature. Added F10 Map Coordinates Picker like in Mission Editor. Call it with LALT + Left Mouse click.“

I really really like that. And I could imagine that there are some DTC less f-18 and 16 drivers that like it, too.

  • Yeah, you just have to be conservative with AB and keep up high.

The values in the sheet are very generous in terms of security margins etc. it’s usually no problem to stretch the loiter time a bit.

  • AG Radar Returns JF-17
  • Unfortunately the Jeff is the only AG Radar capable module I have. I was planning to do a miz file and provide it so there can be comparable testing. Thinking about placing some set of targets in a lofi area of Caucasus to have nothing else giving radar returns in the vicinity of the targets. Can you explain in which luas to look? I could try.

Yeah the Jeff is really great. I am happy to have found an DCS air wing that sports a really active Jeff squadron. SP really is bleak

    AG Radar Returns JF-17

With geeky HRM Maps from the Strike Eagle in mind, i was playing around a bit with the - at least from me- much neglected A/G Radar of the Jeff and did some small test setups.

As it turns out, some Vehicles seem not to have a Radar return.

Attached there are 2 Screenshots - The Setup and the best Picture i could get in DBS 2 - Zoomed in as much as possible.

Whilst 2 Command Centers, BMP3 and T80U give clear radar returns, a DSHK Pickup does not (okay, i can dig that. its small) nor does A Scud Launcher (thats the part i cant understand).

Is it supposed to be that way?

  • So, one of the planes you really profit from creating own pre-sets for different situations beforehand and saving them. I didnt get it in preorder, but i think i will let a bunch of the upcoming videos make me buy it.

How does HRM affect your PC? I sounded like a big deal, especially as they implemented special options for it

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

    Release Release 2.0.8.6 · ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone

    DCS-SRS Release Version 2.0.8.6

Hope you're all enjoying the new Gazelle changes! This update adds support for the Gazelle as well as fixes a number of small annoyances across the board and some small new features too.

This may also fix a long standing bug that I've struggled to replicate for a while where if multiple autoconnect messages were sent in quick succession (usually from spamming a blocked slot or just DCS things) it could cause SRS to disconnect every 10 minutes (pretty much on the dot of 10 minutes). Thanks for all that sent in their logs as that helped to crack it!

    Changelog:

Fixed support for Hercules mod radio! Thanks to @gcask Added support for the new Gazelle changes. Well done Polychop! Added Gazelle Transponder / IFF panel now its clickable - again thanks Polychop for making it interactive! Added In Cockpit Volume control for FW190 (both variants) Added In Cockpit Volume control for Viggen for one radio (other radio doesn't have a knob) Fix for possible race condition when multiple autoconnect messages are sent in quick succession (under 1 second). This may fix the annoying bug some experience where you disconnect every 10 minutes from SRS Possible fix for crash when mouse wheel was used on the AWACS panel intercom spinner Fix for Mirage F1 IFF panel showing incorrect values Basic support for the F15E upcoming module. Thanks to RAZBAM for this! Added support for M2000D mod Fix for crash when other non text files matched the name of the radio (thanks for the report on this!)
