Defeatism is rampant in so many circles now. People are incapable of seeing anything as a win, even if it is small. "If he looks like he will win, he won't. If he does they will kill him. If they don't they will deport him. If they don't the something else bad will happen. And if all those things don't happen and he truly wins then he won't change anything anyway. I agree on the grounds that Putin knows that NATO and the EU will absolutely turn on him at a moments notice, and is rabid to do so. On one end is an ally that will never betray or attack them and on the other end is an org that has spend decades trying to destroy him and will do so as soon as it's convenient. China will absolutely never stand against Russia in any form unless Russia were to like,go completely insane and attack them. Meanwhile NATO will do everything it can tof fuck them over at a moments notice.

On the other hand though, he's smart enough to also know his future, and the future of the Russian oligarchy, relies entirely on not allowing Chinese socialism to influence the Russian proletariat. And that when the west falls, the AES countries will continue to grow more and more.

So I think he both wants to keep China as an ally, but absolutely knows he can't last forever with the largest and most powerful socialist nation to ever exist sharing a border. And I don't think he will ever "go left" as I have seen other dream about. If the oligarchy was every overthrown in Russia, he's know he would be a dead man.

So trusting him to always be on China's side is not something I think anyone should ever do. If he could survive against the west without China he absolutely would abandon them.

This is just my views on the matter though.

That's because it's a stupid idea blurted out by a senile old man who's just remember things talked about decades ago by other Presidents. He remembered the star wars program under Regan and here we go. At most it's a bullshit front to pump money into more nukes to aim at China. As if they ever needed to justify that before.

Either that or it's gonna be an excuse to point nukes at their own cities. Which I would t be surprised of either. If something ever comes about that jeopardizes their rule, I can see them burning it all down rather than losing control. It makes sense honestly. The more time passes the more their strategy seems to shift from winning against outside forces and more about losing in a way that keeps their power at home.

Most libertarians I know are juuuuust smart enough to get that massive corporate greed and oligarchies are the major problems with the US and that the government is tied to that but not smart enough to understand what capitalism truly is and how it truly works. Because they have that "well if everyone was a capitalist and no one group was ever able to get too powerful" bullshit. They still think capitalism is still just "I buy and sell things." And it's combined with the infantile anarkiddies ideals of "all guberment bad." So they will have these occasionally good takes where the realize the horrors and evil of capitalism but not the cause of any actual real solution against it.

Couple things.

1. As much as I support China and trust them to be the new leaders of environmental protections, unless something is done drastically to start actively filtering out these chemicals and stop putting more into the environment, I truly believe we are doomed. Insect life across the globe has plummeted. I look into my garden and the lack of insects is startling. Add the fact the US EPA regs are getting gutted, any positive movement on China's part in controlling them is about to be countered by the US increasing its pollution.
2. Micro plastics are not the same as PFAS I believe? PFAS are quite a bit worse as I understand?

4. As far as regular (non-PFAS) micro plastics are concerned, you can also rinse foods with small amounts of citrus oils to remove microplastics. Citrus "essential oils" (EOs) are like 98% d-limonene. Which is an extremely effective and volatile organic solvent. One of the best naturally occuring ones on earth. Put a drop of orange oil on a Styrofoam cup sometime and see what happens. The EOs of citrus fruit in a little water will dissolve the normally hydrophobic microplastics on vegetables (usually in the form of pesticides and herbicides. All that shit is basically different forms of plastic). Added note, this is why most cleaners and degreasers are citrus scented. It's not just for scent. It's literally part of the cleaner. It's amazing stuff. I could go on but I'll stop here. Unless anyone wants more random facts about it. lol
