Update on Path of Exile 1

We announced last week some unfortunate news regarding the timeline for 3.26.0 for Path of Exile 1. Coming out of that we have adjusted some of our internal resources to be able to provide you with some content to fill the time until that expansion arrives.

To start with we'll be running a one-month event that has some of our whacky ideas that never quite made it off the brainstorm board.

What does Path of Exile 1 look like when the nineteen Ascendancy Classes you know and are familiar with are all of a sudden replaced by a different nineteen? What does Path of Exile 1 look like when you get to play a Witch and ascend to become a Harbinger? These are the questions our design team asked each other and in this event will provide you with some of our answers.

We're currently working on the 0.1.1c patch for Path of Exile 2 that will include some bug fixes and minor new features. We plan to deploy this patch by the end of this week. Full details will be included in the patch notes, but in the meantime here is some of the changes you can expect to be in it:

Features:

• Added up to five respawn attempts for the Twisted Domain area, based on the area difficulty.
• Added up to five respawn attempts for the Olroth, Origin of the Fall boss fight, based on the fight difficulty.
• Added up to five respawn attempts for the Crux of Nothingness area, based on the area difficulty.
• Added Minimap Icons for Strongboxes.
• Minimap Icons for League mechanics now remain visible regardless of how far away you travel from them, making it easier to return to them later.
• Added more checkpoints to several Map ar

The ongoing Settlers of Kalguur expansion in Path of Exile 1 was launched in July 2024. Since the release of Path of Exile 2 in Early Access, our players have been asking about the future of Path of Exile 1 and the timeline for its next expansion. I know I still use it as well sometimes for things but I asked you guys and we were pretty much in agreement about this, and a lot of the Reddit crowd are doing it, so yeah. I might also not catch everything cuz I'm just one guy so please just stick to it :)

Thanks to everyone who participated in the closed test program, we finally had the app accepted (again!) on Google Play. An "open testing" channel has been configured which now points to the last beta, but there are no more restrictions on who can participate in it.

Once I finish with the activities I'm working on – manly bug fixes for issues you have reported or small feature additions – I'll be releasing a candidate for the production track. Thanks to all those who helped and to all new translators, your contribution was really welcome and will surely improve everyone's experience.

We'd like to take a moment to apologise for our slower-than-usual support response times. Due to the massive increase in tickets from Early Access, we've fallen behind our usual standard. Today we want to detail what went down and how we’ve been working to improve the situation.

In the lead up to the launch of Path of Exile 2’s Early Access we began to ramp up our Customer Support team. It quickly became evident that our efforts were not nearly enough and we have since doubled the size of the team, and we are still hiring more.

The Support Team is responsible for not only the emails and private messages, but also the in-game chat and forum moderation. All of these have been approximately 10 times busier than our previous busiest time.

Since the announcement on the 22nd of November the Support Team has received around 545,000 email requests and been able to reduce the remaining requests to approximately 75,000.

Tomorrow we’re planning to release patch 0.1.1 for Path of Exile 2, pending any last minute hurdles. This patch contains new endgame tower maps, checkpoints for map areas, respawn attempts for the Arbiter of Ash, as well as many monster changes, unique changes, improvements and bug fixes.

Please note that these are still subject to change prior to the patch’s deployment.
