Pictrs upgrade - completed

I'm in the process of upgrading us to the latest 0.19.4 release.

You might see some brief downtime during the next hour or so, pictrs is currently upgrading its database.

Edit: Pictrs upgrading taking longer than expected after the migration crashed, hopefully wrapped up soon!

Finally Done! We're all ready for the new lemmy version now, maybe once a patch release comes out.

  • If I may, there a few UI bugs on 0.19.4:

    • crossposts do not work
    • emojis cannot be used
    • automatic titles do not work

    I reported those on !community@reddthat.com (which is running 0.19.4 since this morning) if you want to have a look

      I'm going to do the pictrs upgrade, but maybe hold off on lemmy itself for the moment.

        If you have an account on lemmy.ml, feel free to have a look and try by yourself, but at least from the crosspost, Dessalines told me that it is a bug they are tracking.

  • Does the image upgrade fix gifs? Because they just show as a blue ? for me (or is that a bug in Photon?)
