Roughly 14 percent of the workforce is cut as part of Disney's company-wide cost-cutting measures. The move is the biggest reduction in Pixar's history.
Man, their run from the 90s to the end of the 2000s is absolutely incredible. Even films like A Bug's Life and Cars are pretty great. It's a pity that since then outside of a few films (Inside Out is a personal favourite) it's been a very uneven filmography at best. I think their decline a few years after Disney's purchase is very disappointing.
